Pierce VanPyre Biography 'Pierce has a lot of stuff going on. His wife turned him into a vampire. He was recruited by the vampire underworld-turned-overworld, and made the leader of their secret organization. There's a baby on the way, and on top of that he has to live with his half-siblings for a while. What's more, he has to deal with his jerk dad as he plans to move to Bridgeport to 'reconnect'. Pierce juggles his job as a Mixologist with all other aspects of his life. Will Contessa be the one thing that keeps him sane?' Pierce VanPyre, created by Pidgeoraptor7, is a male, young adult (nearing adult) vampire Sim. He lives in Bridgeport with his vampiric wife Brigit VanPyre. Pierce is, along with Brigit, one of the main protagonists of The Good Ones. Pierce is also good friends with Nisha Slayer, who plays a minor roll in The Good Ones. However, Pierce will most likely not appear as a character in Freedom50000's Of The Night.

Childhood in Riverview

Pierce grew up to an unknown mother and a father, Garth VanPyre. When Pierce was born, he was Virtuoso and Unlucky. Pierce's father was a vampire, and Pierce learned from Dunstan that "VanPyre" was a name taken by Garth after being turned as a teen, and consequentially exiled from his house and forced into foster care. Pierce's mother taught him all of his toddler skills.

When Pierce grew up into a child, he inherited the Loves the Outdoors trait. While Pierce lived in Riverview, he received B- grades. He had little friends, the small group consisting only of himself, Skip Broke, and Carlotta and Anita Lobos, who still were much older than he. As a child, Pierce witnessed his father turn his mother into a vampire. His father and mother, unaware of his presence, believed he was upstairs sleeping. His witness of his mother's transformation and her frequent screams of pain emotionally scarred him for life. From that moment on, he stayed away from his father as much as possible; he only accepted his mother around him and even isolated himself from his friends.

Things only got worse for Pierce. When aging into a teen, he gained the Brave trait from exiling himself from his friends and family members and exploring on his own. Undoubtedly, the death of Pierce's mother was the most traumatic moment of his life. She died of thirst, and Pierce swore he would never become a vampire, so that he would not have to suffer the same fate. He lived with his father after this, and his grades only got worse, considering that his father was the equivalent of his mortal enemy. Pierce blamed Garth for his mother's death.

Because of Pierce's promise, despite growing up terribly, he gained the Good trait when aging up into a young adult.

Life in Bridgeport

Now old enough to live on his own, Pierce packed his bags and moved to Bridgeport. He hoped that moving there would free him of the repulsive vampires, but instead it made his life much worse. There were even more vampires than in Riverview!

Pierce, after juggling a few odd jobs, found his place at the Plasma 501. While working the night shift, Pierce easily befriended Brigit Hemlock, a bartender who also worked there. He later learned she was a vampire. He allowed Brigit to turn him when she was dying of thirst outside his apartment.

Brigit, after turning Pierce, kisses him. They sit there for fifteen minutes, Brigit expecting to distract Pierce from the pain but also because she is truly in love with him. After becoming a vampire, Pierce is visited by his friend, Nisha Slayer, who introduces and initiates him into the secret organization known by only a select few vampires, The Good Ones.

Pierce, one day, receives a cryptic message in the mail, addressed to Pierce from a "Mr. Garth VanPyre". In the letterm Garth reveals to Pierce that he has been searching for his long-lost son and that he has fathered two children with his second wife, a brother Dunstan, and a sister, Leila. Dunstan and Leila are, as noted in the message, to be arriving at his apartment shortly.

Approximately a week after Dunstan and Leila arrive, Brigit and Pierce get married. They waited for some time, but about a month after their marriage Pierce and Brigit tried to have a baby. They were successful in their attempt: Brigit told Pierce that there was a baby on the way. When visiting a doctor, she gives Brigit an ultrasound and the young couple learn that they will be having a baby girl.

While completing a mission, Pierce and Rafael are attacked by a lone vampire, who throws a vat of acid at them. Pierce jumps in front of Rafael to protect him, and being undead, Pierce is not injured: instead, the acid gives him the ability to set things on fire at will, and Pierce ends up almost incinerating himself. However, much to his dismay, he was not made immune to fire. After this close encounter, Brigit and Pierce agree on naming the baby Contessa Ember Rose.

In Episode: The End, Pierce has a nightmare about his father and a group of other vampires chasing him around the forests on the outskirts of Bridgeport. His nightmare is still going on when Brigit brings him to the hospital, and when he hears his father whispering in his dream, it is actually him hearing his father in real life. Pierce suffers a heart attack.

Pierce is reunited with his father, Garth, when he and Morgana come to see if he is alright. Pierce explodes when his father tries to apologize, releasing years of pent up anger on him. Garth is left with a bloody nose.

Pierce is drugged when the nurses put something in his orange juice so that he can relax after beating up his father, and when he wakes up Brigit's arm is around him. He talks with his step-mother, and she tells him that he is not allowed to work for The Good Ones for at least one year, until his heart can fully recover (he needs a defibrillator just in case). In this time, Brigit goes into labor.

Brigit gives birth to Contessa. Pierce begins to cry as he holds her in his arms.

The young couple agree on moving to a mansion on the outskirts of Bridgeport where they can raise Tessa away from the hustle and bustle of the city as well as keeping out of the public eye. They hire a babysitter to keep watch on Contessa while they are away, but once Peyton leaves they instead hire Jupiter Belle, a young teen with a crush on Deidre Littler. Pierce also hears that his half-brother Dunstan, who along with Leila has aged up into a young adult, plans on enlisting in the military.

Pierce also rediscovers his love for music and for playing the guitar thanks to inspiration from Brigit and Jupiter.

• Pierce was supposed to end up in a relationship with Jessica Talon, but then I found she was in a relationship with Rafael Striker. Oops. >:D
• Fanon:Pierce VanPyre was the 9,530th page on The Sims Wiki before player Stories were deleted.
• Originally, Pierce was going to refrain from having children, but Sims always have children, so why not populate the neighborhood?
• Pierce's favorite color was originally black, but he's such a goodie-goodie.
• Pierce will have a son by the end of the series, and Brigit will have died.

Onomatology

Pierce: An English name meaning rock. This may be a reference to him having the rock hard build of a vampire and to accentuate that he is in fact a vampire.
