Issue is resolved
Administrative projects will be eliminated. The rule requiring administrators to participate in the projects no longer applies. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 04:33, August 26, 2014 (UTC)

Copied over from The Sims Wiki:Administrators' noticeboard

I'm interested in seeing if this is something that could be revived. Ѧüя◎ґ (talk) 21:06, July 25, 2014 (UTC)

My $0.02 is that the Administrative Projects as a whole should be retired. The feature was never widely embraced, and its existence now is little more than a formality. I'd rather we focus on cleaning up projects as a whole, and encourage users (admins and non-admins alike) to join them on a voluntary basis. If it's decided that we should keep Admin Projects, we'd probably need to see some changes to make the projects more effective and make it more likely for people to participate in them. - LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 21:11, July 25, 2014 (UTC)
I support dumping administrative projects. TBH, nobody's taking them seriously as of now. --k6ka (talk | contribs) 21:15, July 25, 2014 (UTC)
I stand with k6ka and LiR. MILK FOR THE UNYUUFEX, FLAT CHEST FOR THE CUTENESS THRONE, SKULLS FOR THE SKULL PROBES (user talk:Mathetesalexandrou) 03:31, July 26, 2014 (UTC)

You make a good point, LiR. The projects don't seem to have much point anymore. I've changed my opinion to retiring the feature. Ѧüя◎ґ (talk) 01:35, July 31, 2014 (UTC)

I support retiring administrative projects. I feel that as an admin, one doesn't need to have a fixed set of projects. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 03:37, July 31, 2014 (UTC)

Delete the project pages?[edit source]

Issue is resolved
former project pages will be kept as archives

The projects themselves have been retired as per the discussion above, but we never established whether the pages that the projects were on should be deleted, or archived in some form? Personally, looking through the pages I don't see much there that merits keeping them, even as an archive. They simply weren't used for much, if they were used at all. But, I'd like to hear other viewpoints on the matter. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 04:33, August 26, 2014 (UTC)

If you're talking about the project subpages like this, I wouldn't mind them being deleted. There's not much to see there. The Sims Wiki:Administrative projects should be kept though, IMO. Nikel Talk Vote! 07:46, August 26, 2014 (UTC)
Basically what LostinRiverview said. There is really no need to keep them on the wiki if they're not being used for anything. I'm in support of deletion. Beds (talk - blog) 16:06, August 27, 2014 (UTC)
It wouldn't hurt at all to keep them archived, so they can be referenced easily in the future. This is what Wikipedia does, at least, to pages that are no longer active. --k6ka (talk | contribs) 14:34, September 2, 2014 (UTC)
I agree, K6ka. Slap em' with a {{{discontinued}}} template and keep them as archives. Ѧüя◎ґ (talk) 02:47, September 11, 2014 (UTC)
