Nick Alto is an adult Sim living in Sunset Valley. He is featured in The Sims 3. Nick is the husband of Vita Alto and father of Holly Alto. He starts out acquainted with the Goth Family. He is an acquaintance of Gunther Goth and Cornelia Goth, his wife's friends, as well as their son Mortimer Goth. He is old enemies with Geoffrey and Nancy Landgraab, but shares a neutral relationship with their son Malcolm Landgraab. Nick Alto begins the game 16 days away from becoming an elder. He is Vice President, Level 7 of the Business Career track. He starts the game with 4 Athletic skill points and 2 Handiness skill points. Initially in his inventory are a Laptop and a mystery novel the Game of Thorns.
He is in a feud, with Geoffrey and Nancy Landgraab. It seems likely that this business feud involves Nancy Landgraab in particular. Both Nancy Landgraab and Nick Alto are ambitious workaholics who are vice-presidents in the Business career, and they appear to be in competition to become the next CEO. Also, in the description for the vice-president position, it mentions that "the competition to become the next CEO is stiff", which could refer to their race to get to the top.
Though Nick Alto is far advanced in the Business career, he actually wishes to join the Criminal career. He also loves to work out, strength workouts in particular.
He is noted, along with his wife, for being one of the evil Sims in the neighborhood, and for being the unofficial owner of most of the shops and businesses. (However, he does not have the evil trait, though he does have the mean spirited one.) He and his wife Vita Alto get ahead by pushing others down, as it says that they have "plotted the misfortune of almost everyone they've met."
A Sim named "Nicholas Alto-Hick" is mentioned in The Sims 2, if one uses cheats to bring back Vita Alto, whose grave has been found hidden underground in Pleasantview. It is unknown if this is the same Nick Alto. Apparently the game lists "Nicholas Alto-Hick" as living, but neither he nor his grave has been found. [confirmation needed]
