Otis Fielding is a pre-made playable adult Sim from Garden Heights, one of the neighborhoods shipped with The Sims Pet Stories. He is a retired Dog Trainer and has a dog, Jake. Otis is a very spiritual man and helps Alice Whitt throughout the Best in Show story. In the story, he and his dog are revealed to be living on the street, meaning that he lost his home. Otis first appears in the story after Alice had reached the final of the dog show. He tells her that he has been following her and her dog Sam and that he is very well acquainted with Diana DeBore because he and his dog Jake were the reigning SimCity Dog Show champions four years ago, until Diana and her dog Precious were able to beat them. He also teaches Alice "The Way of the Paw" that will help her to communicate better with Sam and gives her the obsidian paw, which is an ancient talisman known to attune humans to animals.

Diana later pays a visit to Alice's home. When Diana notices the obsidian paw, she decides to steal it. It probably reminded her of Otis and she might have thought the object was helping Alice and Sam in some way.

Otis returns later and gives Alice the last bit of training before the final. He tells Alice that she doesn't need help from books to fulfill her destiny, she only needs to look within herself to understand the true meaning of "The Way of the Paw".

After the story, Otis and Jake will be in the family bin, but with only 100 Simoleons. So in order to give the family a home, they have to be placed in an occupied residential lot and moved out to get a decent starting amount of Simoleons. Then they can be moved into their own house to live.

Otis has the Knowledge aspiration and the Aquarius zodiac sign. As far as personality goes, Otis is quite playful and somewhat nice. But also somewhat sloppy, shy, and active. When it comes to his skill points, Otis is almost halfway towards maximizing the body skill. His main interests are Environment, Fashion, and Crime.

Even though none of Otis' facial features use any of the broken Maxis face templates in Create a Sim, when he grows into an elder, it becomes clear that his facial features are nonetheless broken.
