Ruby Broke is the daughter of Flo and Flat Broke, and sister to the infamous Skip Broke, making her the aunt of Dustin and Beau. She lives with her large family, and wants to move out, but she likes being so close to them. She does not appear in The Sims 2, and what happened to her is not mentioned. It is likely that she would either be deceased or well into her elder stage by the time of The Sims 2. Ruby is also known because she is a bit overweight, but that is easily corrected with some exercise in the treadmill training.

In more than one case, she is known to have a relationship with Sherman Bagley although they are only aquaintances during the beginning of the game.
