Body Shop[edit source]

I know how to use Body Shop for customising facial features, but how do you access copies of Sims that actually exist as characters in-game? C.Syde (talk | contribs) 10:21, January 25, 2014 (UTC)

You have to extract in-game Sims to Body Shop. This is one of guides that I found, but I don't know will it work. Mate1234 (Chatterbox...) 10:32, January 25, 2014 (UTC)
That tutorial misses a critical step. Follow this method instead. After extracting appearances in SimPE, you must clone them in BodyShop - otherwise they will contain some character data that can corrupt a neighborhood unexpectedly. K6ka (talk | contribs) 21:32, January 25, 2014 (UTC)
I should thank you K6ka for that tutorial, and Mate1234 for that first tutorial even if it did miss a critical step. C.Syde (talk | contribs) 01:29, March 29, 2014 (UTC)

Does it work on deceased Sims who can't be resurrected in-game? C.Syde (talk | contribs) 08:51, May 10, 2014 (UTC)

I've exported a few Sims but only cloned some of them, so is that why Body Shop isn't working properly for me? Joey.eyeball (talk) 08:43, May 12, 2014 (UTC)

The same happened to me. If it happens you must delete all the Sims you saved to Body Shop. Then you should re-clone them, and keep track when doing so so you can figure out which Sim made Body Shop not run properly. Then you should try and find some other way to clone them. Annoying isn't it? -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 23:53, July 9, 2014 (UTC)

Oh wait - before you do, make sure the Sims you exported aren't currently being used by any playable households in that neighbourhood, because when I deleted Malcolm Landgraab IV, Sanjay Ramaswami and Stella Terrano from the saved Sim bin, it also deleted their in-game appearances, so that they'd be invisible. Also it caused their character data to be in-complete. So I had no choice but to use SimPE to give those three Sims in Desiderata Valley death tokens.

I'll have to replicate them using data stored elsewhere. So if anyone has read what I wrote above, be careful when deleting Body Shop copies of Sims. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 23:34, July 10, 2014 (UTC)

Access hidden content?[edit source]

At least with the FreeTime version of Body Shop, I see no evidence that Body Shop can, as a rule, access hidden content. Dharden (talk) 15:36, September 8, 2018 (UTC)

Archived Tutorials from TheSims2.com[edit source]

While the pages are archived, it appears that the tutorial images themselves are no longer available. The links should probably be removed unless someone can find a working version. Dharden (talk) 14:17, September 10, 2018 (UTC)
