Every time one of my sims dies by fire they just turn into ashes and leave no gravestone. Is this normal? 71.197.136.159 (talk) 17:15, January 26, 2013 (UTC)

Oh, nevermind! There it is. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.197.136.159 (talkcontribs) (UTC) - Please sign your comments with ~~~~

Saving and fire[edit source]

Is it true that we can save the game while there's a fire on the lot? I can't test this because I have a mod that enables Buy / Build mode and saving in any occasion. I just tested the game without the mod; the Buy / Build mode are disabled, but I could still save! I even tried spawning burglar, and I could still save too. I guess I'm left with that condition anyhow, oh well.

The real question is, is the save button enabled all along, or is it caused by a mod? I'm very certain that at one point, the save button was disabled due to fire or burglar... or death. I didn't try death in my test though. Can anyone confirm this? Nikel Talk Vote! 16:59, February 20, 2014 (UTC)

There are some situations where Save is disabled, yes. There are mods and hacked objects that can stop this behaviour though. For example, the InSIM has an option to re-enable the save button if it is disabled. K6ka (talk | contribs) 17:35, February 20, 2014 (UTC)
I've never seen Save being disabled while there is a fire. Are you talking about The Sims 2? Because if you are, the save button is enabled all along. I don't use mods. You can't save the game in the Sims 2 when a Sim is dying, or if there is a Social Worker or Repo-man on the lot.
As far as I'm concerned, the Save button is not disabled when there is a Fire, so unfortunately I can't support the question that the fire button is sometimes disabled. C.Syde65 (talk) 04:05, February 21, 2014 (UTC)
I guess back then whenever the Buy / Build mode are disabled, I simply thought the save button is too. I must be wrong. Nikel Talk Vote! 14:26, February 21, 2014 (UTC)
The save button is disabled when a Sim is dying, or if there is a Social Worker or Repo-man on the lot. But when a Sim dies, buy / build mode are still enabled. C.Syde65 (talk) 07:26, February 22, 2014 (UTC)

My Sim is on fire![edit source]

A glitch happened when I was playing The Sims Superstar! My sim was on a community lot, and Marylin Monroe burst into flames! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.68.128.39 (talkcontribs) 17:26 9 July 2014 (UTC) - Please sign your comments with ~~~~

Sorry, but fires cannot start on community lots in The Sims 1 and 2. Nice try. --k6ka (talk | contribs) 17:37, July 9, 2014 (UTC)

Regarding TS4[edit source]

Don't Sims like run of the house/lot when fire erupts? DrakonoSkerdikas (talk) 16:00, December 28, 2018 (UTC)
