Svetlana Baker

Family Galleries

Dharden, how are you ^^? I just wanted to ask something, where can I find the images which are shown in family (from The Sims 2) pages? For example the Goth family has loads of pictures of storyline of The Sims 2, such as birth of Cassandra and wedding of Mortimer and Bella Goth, but in my game I haven't found the pictures anywhere, do you know where they are located? RE: Death from a sack of money

I believe the death is divided into ghosts, though. So I suppose the Death by Starvation should be made into some subcategories, including Death from Sack of Money and Death by Witch Throne. Or maybe it shouldn't be merged with Death by Starvation. Instead, Death by Low Motives. How's about that? Besides, why EAxis didn't even bother to make a ghost of its own?Nikel23 03:18, March 18, 2011 (UTC)

Oh, well... I guess I can't argue with that. Then, sorry because I deleted the info about Death by Witch Throne... <:D

FYI, I myself has tried the Death from Sack of Money and Death by Witch Throne many times by dragging my Sim's motives as low as possible (not empty, though), but they, in fact, didn't die immediately. After being hit by sack anims, they'll start starved to death anims, not being hit to death anims. That's why I don't believe it's a way of death. I think it's just a way to deplete motives. I also tried the Death by Elevator, but it's just the same as above.

Email

Hello there! I thought I should contact the entire admin team about this, since this is a little bit off-wiki but still, from what I and some contacted admins can see, an idea that could be beneficial for The Sims Wiki.

I am currently in the planning - almost creating - process of making an email account for The Sims Wiki. This account, while not needed extremely, could bring a large amount of positive things for the wiki.

Firstly, this is a smaller The Sims Wiki version of Special:Contact. Through this, we can send surveys to users about new features or ideas we implement. Do the users agree with a makeover of the Community Portal? Do the users want this policy to be added? What ideas do users have for the future?

Secondly, we can use this for more private, though still completely controlled, user reporting. If I see someone being rude to me and don't want to "look stupid" by reporting it to an admin, which some users do think, what do I do? I send an email through, and let an admin read it and check what's been going on. Note: This isn't a "I emailed first!" scenario, every user involved, included the sender, will be investigated.

Thirdly, and this is completely optional for users, they can "subscribe" to the newsletter. This will be where they allow us to send a monthly, if not bi-weekly, email, containing links to active votes and discussions, the Newsletter, open positions, new features, etc.

Now, I still have a lot of ideas on how to use this productively, but another reason I'm contacting all admins is to sort out something. I know that I may not be completely trusted by all of the admins to handle this alone so I am going to ask all admins who wish to join the project to say so on my talk page, and I will send the password to you once the email account is activated. Currently, I prefer as little users managing this account as possible, due to problems that may arise if all admins had access to the same account. I would appreciate only bureaucrats requesting the password if they like, but I still encourage admins to request it if they wish.

Please note that this account will not use my, or any other user's real account password, as that would be pretty dumb to hand out on a silver plate.

I hope you all read this and think about ideas and or reasons to oppose it.

Images

I've been gone for a while so I couldn't answer, but yes I did collect some removed base game outfit recolors and I planned on using the images on the Unused Accessories page as these outfits along with others I did not upload are not featured in screen-shots or thumbnails so I decided to upload the textures themselves.thelamppost 17:51, April 16, 2011 (UTC)

Also I used SimPE to find the recolors in the game files and uploaded them under the in-game file names so others could locate them, and since all of the hidden outfits excluding a handful of base-game ones use meshes already accessible so all it takes to 'unlock' them is to save the textures to photos and use body shop to extract a recolor of said outfit already in-game, once extracted open projects and replace the colored image with the hidden one but leave the alpha and bump map unchanged.--thelamppost 18:03, April 16, 2011 (UTC)

But I think the smaller image of PlantSim was supposed to be the secondary icon e.g. a want to turn other Sim into PlantSim (A Sim image and small icon at the lower right). Besides, the PlantSim image can also be found in the Turn Ons. Nikel23

Well, there are two now. The Turn-On version from BV which has bigger resolution (64x64), and smaller one (40x44). The latter has the same resolution as other life states e.g. werewolf, vampire, and witch, while the former is too big. The Penguin

How come they can put evolution on the penguin page, but not Creation. It seems to me a true evolutionist would not care if Creation is on there because they do not believe in it. I just wanted my beliefs on the sims wiki the same as you do. Please let us Christians, Jews, and whoever else believes in creation, and plays sims be included on here to. I'm not saying let's take your beliefs out of the sims wiki, I'm just asking that we have our part to.

Hi. There has been conflict on several wikis about a vandal known as (deleted). Two of his known socks have been blocked here as a precaution, and I have mentioned it on the admin portal. Science Project

• How did s/he come up with the idea?
• How long did it take to be released
• How many people have played it in the past years? A graph would really help.
• And how much has The Sims changed from when it was released to now?

Hello, I have noticed that this ip 62.49.179.158 keeps adding non sence it to articles, please take a look at him. I have undid what he/she wrote.

Another thing I've made a redirect page about Mod it is [[1]] because sometimes people search modifiction, and put it in Category:Redirects (Which I made) and I put that category under the Content Category, however I think it is a good idea to put all the redirect pages we have in a category (the Redirects category) so we can see what redirects we have, thanks.--Mr.Wikia 12:29, June 13, 2011 (UTC)

The Sims 3 Pets PC VS Console

On the 11th of this month I suggested that the Sims 3: Pets page be split into an article for Console and one for PC. This needs to happen as the page will eventually become too cluthered and info about both versions will become mixed together. We did it for The Sims 2: Pets (PC/Console) so it should happen here as well. On the talk page only two others have commented on splitting the article/page and they both support it. i would love to hear your feedback on this. Thanks. Same-sex relationships

Hi Dharden ^_^! I think we have an issue with the page I mentioned, it has gotten too much speculative in my opinion, do you think we should remove some of its content? Do you share the same opinion with me, or do you think it's fine? For example Gobias Koffi's bio hints to the possibility that he may be homosexual, but what about the others? I am specially concerned that there are no references on the page, which would help us better to figure out whether these possibilities are true or not.
