It´s an spanish rule (i don´t know if it´s the same for other romances languges (french, italian, portuguese, catalan and romanian)) for phonetic topics and better pronunciation for example a person who has two names like Juan Pedro same people says "Juan or Pedro" but other people mix both and says "JuaMPe" naturality change the n for a m, like the case of Sinbad in Spanish change de n for a M If you don´t understand ask me again. --Nacho 02:14, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

Kindly show him the fanon wiki and the player stories sub-pages was the best course of action, whether it belongs on the forum or not. All is taken care of then.
While we're at it though: would it be an idea to create a page where non-admins can report vandalism? Anyone can undo it or remove it, but then we (we non-admins) have to report it on admin talk pages. I'm thinking users report it and admins then strike-out the text explaining the user has been warned/banned etc. It should probably be in The Sims Wiki: prefix namespace. Resurrecting a sim that has a dead token in their inventory?[edit source]

Sorry to bother you, but this is exactly about Cordelia Capp. See, I had Tybalt and one of my CAS sims get married and have a baby. They had a baby girl and that looked a lot like Cordelia, and so I named her "Cordelia Jr" in honor. So I decided I'd check to see if there was anything wrong with Cordelia so I could resurrect her or if she was too glitchy via Tombstone of Life and Death. She had no personality points and a glitched fitness level (skinny but it is all the way up, which both is apparently normal for the dead Capp family members). I checked her chemistry, she had no chemistry, and not all the dead Capps are like that. I checked her aspiration rewards and she had 500 and the dead Capp members usually have 1,000. So then I checked her inventory and found a blank item. I clicked it and it said "*Token - I am Dead" and so yeah I automatically figured it was a dead token. (I actually have a screenshot of this, but since I have it on document I can't save it unless I use paint and then it shrinks the image). I saw that you could delete it, but I didn't know if it was safe or not so I just let her go and the kid had memories that Cordelia died. So yeah, Can I get rid of the dead token in her inventory by deletion or is there some other way I can remove it or is it going to ruin my game if I try? And can I still resurrect her? Oh, was that you? I agree the color should probably be toned down, I just can seem to find a hex color light enough even with a gigantic image with all kinds of hex colors. I don't agree on the wording though, the page simply describes a feature in a Teen-rated game. I think 'Warning' is abit harsh. We should continue this on the talk page. Moving files[edit source]

How do I move a file? I sometimes spot those 'screenshot-2.jpg' files and they cause trouble when someone uploads a new one. I noticed Bleeh has done it a few times, so maybe you need to be an admin to move files, or is there a command to it I'm not seeing. Duskey(talk)(blog) 07:22, July 11, 2010 (UTC)

No problem. I've been combing the special image pages lately, there should be a bunch of images ready deletion or at least discussion about deletion. Is there any specific reason why deletion of files aren't handled as quickly as articles? Eg. images I've nominated weeks ago haven't been deleted, while my userpages marked for deletion are removed only a day later. I can understand that it's not terribly exciting to go through all the stuff marked for deletion all at once, but it just seems to me that there's some hesitation on files.   2. Bad quality
  3. Duplicate
with links to a proper similar version of the image in the delete reason.

Regarding Tookute4m3's block, I would suggest that the one-week block stay at the same length, but that they receive a warning stating that if they break any more rules, they'll receive a permanent block. I think it's not likely that they'll change, but I'd give them the benefit of the doubt, at least one more time. General Policy #5: Blocks will escalate in severity if multiple offenses are committed. There's no policy on permanent blocking. I say we offer him the benefit of doubt, however unlikely it may be. Perhaps we should discuss a policy regarding continued vandalism immidiately following expiration of a ban. Duskey(talk)(blog) 00:08, July 12, 2010 (UTC)
I don't think the policy needs to explicitly state when and in what circumstances a person may receive a perm ban - that has and should remain the decisions (collectively) of the admins. It should be understood (and if it's not, the policy should state) that the admins reserve the right to ban users who show no concern for following the rules, and no indication that their behavior will change even after multiple warnings or temporary blocks. Of course, this is all a conversation that should occur in a more public space, if there really is anything to debate here. Going back to the matter at hand, I think what the user's received up to this point has been fair, and I would not object to a lifetime ban if they returned to break the rules again. bottom summerdream[edit source]

Template[edit source]

i am trying to add the warning template (Template:Notification) to tim lee demise and mrs crumplebottom but it is there but it doesnt show in the article..


and yeah i wasn't using hacks/mods/cheats this is what happened.

and it's not resurect o nomitron its a regular sim wall/table phone

1. the phone rings.

2. if it's not bottom the grim reaper says is bottom there

3. when bottom answers, you see the grim reapors icon in the action panel, and she dies and it goes to titania

4. the grim reaper comes

5 i had titania plead but it didn't work and yes bottom did have an urn i don't know if she has a ghost or not cause i was po'd and exited out without saving also but i have heard if the resurect o nomitron is used too much by a certain sim they die.

and also you make the foreign wikis seem like nothing. all my links are to foreign, but everyone else says they should be in english.


and also i got this girl and when she pleads with the reaper she always lose and its a 100/100 relationship for both and shes known him like forever but weird not possible interactions always appear (dont. ask. please.) and it's not something i wanted her to do. she just did it and blah blah blah and i couldn't get her to do it even if i wanted too until later on. it just appeared in the action panel and i was like what the friek is up with her and that was totally scarier than the grim reaper could ever be. and yeah they both do it when they see each other and it is great for building friendship but still... it's not what i want them to do and its freaky how they interact with each other and its most likely not what ea intended, so yeah.


well can you tell me what exactly is corrupted dna? and what is missing dna? and if my sims die with missing dna... are they gone forever?????

why is there no data on dna and what about the nocorruptondeath cheat??????????????? it's mysteriously supposed to keep your game from corrupting, but i don't know if it does the exact opposite.

Yeah so some anon said she has an unused hairstyle. Another anon reverted it. It does look like an unused hairstyle. Why is influence interaction so messed up????[edit source]

also why do I have glitched interaction between to sims (it's not "autonomis" and ea don't make it possible but they didn't spend enough time with the influence and when my sim influence other sim to do stuff usually they do stuff that's not possible.... influence is really glitchy and ruin my game and the action go through no matter the relationship and is actually disturbing to see if they are kids or younger that actions don't go through and instead you just see "++".... influence is relly weird and creepy...no one'll believe me so i shuld just stop talking now. but the only thing it's useful for is building or breaking a relationship 24.11.128.37 19:31, July 14, 2010 (UTC)

Missing file[edit source]

I see you've deleted some files recently, I'm glad. I found a file which says it's missing. I haven't encountered that before. Custom Content[edit source]

Hey I downloaded custom content for the sims 2. I didn't have a downloads folder so I created it as it said and put the Content in the folder and put it in one of the EA folders. (forgot which but it did say Sims 2 or Sims 2 double deluxe...). Yeah and on my game I went to options and pressed display custom content-- on. It is still not showing up in game or in body shop. Also, In the Alien article it says you can make an alien in CAS (debugging mode only) but that is NOT true. Yes, you get the skin, but I can't find the eyes. You CAN make ideal plantsim (not plantsims just ideal plantsim) but you CAN'T make aliens. It's frustrating me to death,... maybe I am not looking in the right place and I don't use mods or hacks so yeah. Also, why are sims so stupid when it comes to fires? One of my sims died (with MOTIVEDECAY OFF) twice. in a row. but his best friend kept pleading and kept winning.,.. everyone came and then started "FIRE!!!" and at first I tried to get the person to extinguish but she just deleted it from her action panel and did FIRE again -_- So yeah finally the guy was smart enough to extinguish it (I was doing a test for the fire jet thing) I mean I don't blame that other guy I mean I'd be jumping and running around frantically if I was on fire but I mean everyone else needs to go to the telephone... or inside at least. --75.202.2.142 00:26, July 16, 2010 (UTC)

Custom Content, Mods, and hacks[edit source]

I undownloaded all my custom content, because I don't like going inside files and I don't want to use any of the above because first of all, I can't get it to work (and if I can't get it to work, it's obvious that it's not for me), and lastly, I don't want to ruin my game and I am ignorant when it comes to files like that. I don't even WANT to bother with that. I have been trying to make alien in CAS (debugging mode, obviously) so I could see if it's a myth or not, but so far I only find the skin. I can't find the eyes and it looks like the only way to get them is in Custom Content, so why does the Alien Article say you can make them? --TetoKasane 18:42, July 16, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Reducing text sizes?[edit source]

Differences with and without reduced text size.

I apologize. As shown in the screenshot you barely notice the reduced text in my browser and the space between the image and text is much smaller than the spaces between the images caused by the old layout. This is why I went ahead with it instead of checking first, the difference was minor, else I would've started something on the talk page. I've reverted the changes now. Oh, that makes more sense yeah. When you wrote 'gallery' a first I thought you were referring to the content gallery of thumbs on the main page as I had just done those recently. All is good then. The latest news from Wikia is that they're doing some 'fixes' so the old galleries won't be as bad as they are now, but I have a feeling we'll need to do some CSS editing to tweak them, as it is now, a standard gallery looks like crap.

Country userboxes[edit source]

Hi there. Could I get you to check out Category:Country userboxes? I see you've already made some crucial minor edits to some of them. I'm thinking of announcing them at some point through a blog post on the main page, but that would be folly if spelling is all wrong and someone who's canadian gets upset 'cause it links to 'users/american'. Also, I'm not quite sure how many countries I should add. I could go by population, but I think most of our visitors are from America and Europe, but then again, I have no idea. The case of the english/british is exactly why I asked you. I actually had to look up England, Great Britain and United Kingdom on Wikipedia to be sure what was what. They look good to me, though England should probably be England and UK would be a Disambiguation page. According to Wikipedia, Scotland, Wales and Ireland, while part of the United Kingdom, is not England, so I'll add Wales and Ireland. And move England. Re: Caption size in galleries[edit source]

Wikia really did a number on us with those changes. I haven't played with the new gallery options nor the captions, I've only been trying to edit the thumbnail size, alignment and the blue border around them. It looks awful if you have a fading transparent small icon, like on User:Duskey/Resources. Duskey(talk) 09:59, July 19, 2010 (UTC)

Dharden! It's christmas. I figured out how to enlarge captions across all galleries. Add this to your monaco.css
.wikia-gallery-caption-size-medium .lightbox-caption{font-size:14px;}
It knocks the text size up a notch. The normal size labelled as medium is 12px (like regular text). Large takes it up to 16px, but you can adjust as you see fit, but I don't really see how it can be a problem. The rest of the text on wikia is 12px aswell. Lemme know if it works. Do not look at this one if you cannot handle it: [4] that's a glitched interaction when you influence a teen to hug an adult, regardless of the family tree. My teen sim and My adult sim were best friends because I was making the guy friends with everyone (popularity aspiration)

[5] and this is the infamous getting a relationship above 100. But see I used sim modder to make the wolf er I mean dog to "love" both of them.

Yeah I am sure cause first I was like "what the heck is that guy doing" so I scrolled and it said "Squeeze" which should NOT be available to a teen-adult. So I am guessing even creepier than that is a mom squeezing her son... o.o? So that means that when a teen (or adult, or kid) is influenced to hug someone, regardless of age, it could be Friendly (very rare to happen), Squeeze, Romantic, Leap Into Arms. I recently changed the mermaid entry as it was totally wrong, you added to that, so i changed it again. You have changed it again, and though your initial additions were good, you insist on putting wrong information - there is no mermaid tail available on either Mod The Sims or The Sims exchange. I will continue to remove this information because it seems to me your additions are more to do with ego than any desire to be correct. If you can find a mermaid tail on either of the sites you claim that they are on, then provide the links.

OK... Tookute4m3 came back today and responded to a lot of stuff. She also deleted your warning from her talk page (though it wasn't a warning template, just a regular text warning). However, it appears that she's already left, so I figure it's not worth pushing the issue as long as she doesn't have any more outbursts. Therefore, I'm going to recommend that she not receive a block unless she misbehaves again. Eva Drudge hair quetion[edit source]

Sorry Dharden one more time, nuthach is a bird, OMG ! Because I´m portuguese and I didn´t know how to say carrapito (a hairstyle) in english so I translate the word in a site and it sayed that carrapito is nuthatch in english , but now I went to other translate site and it sayed that carrapito is bun in English. Sorry my mistake. Probably the word carrapito means two words in Portuguese, bun and a tip of bird. Can you change the name of the category to "Sims with the hair tied in a bun" I don´t know how to do it ! Thanks one more time for warn me so many times ! I don't think it's right....[edit source]

I don't think it's right in the Ghosts article- keeping ghosts at bay. My ghosts did in fact get up the stairs somehow! (The little foundation ones or whatever) but so far they don't go up actual staircases, just that little one in build mode with it's one thing-- Also, I think that the gender of a baby is completely random, unless cheesecake/watermelon/apples are involved...
