Grim Reaper hybrid Sims 3

my sim tryed for baby with the Grim Reaper it came out as a normal baby sim and don't know if it's patch 2 but how do you get one

Downtown/ Bridgeport

Do you think you should merge Bridgeport to Downtown, Grant Rodiek stated that Bridgeport is Downtown but with other name because when the city didn´t have name he called the city Downtown. I'll have to get in the habit of doing it. Not exactly easy, since it looks the same with and without "subst:". If it's not a difference that makes no difference, what's the difference? (Serious question. All I can find on the matter says to use "subst:" on templates that are used inline, but nothing I can find says why to do it or what difference it makes.) I see. {{subst:template}} is replaced with what's in the template; but {{template}} without the "subst:" just says "go get this and display it". It's straightforward enough once it's explained, but it is not self-evident. Dharden (talk) 18:57, August 19, 2010 (UTC)

What is SimsCentral?

Answering your request, SimsCentral is a place where I/other admins, sysops and bearucrats can post news bites in paragraphs, at any time . For example: I if wanted to add something like someone from the wiki was retiring, you could post it immediately, with the newsletter you'd have to wait a bit. If it turns out that they are not, you could retract the post. In the newsletter, it would be shorter so you'd have to add something else.

Also (I can do this with the newsletter as well) I can save the data onto a HTML format readable offline. Anybody can on Internet Explorer 8 and Notepad. Just press F11, copy the entire text, open Notepad, paste it in, and Save As an HTML.

Sims headshots

I'm glad you asked me about the threatening message i received because I didn't even know what I've done wrong: All I did was creating some pages about the sims 2 nannies and adding categories and miscellaneous informations about other sims, like their eye color. And I've never spoken to Simscontributor before.... I was very surprised to read it.

Anyway, I have two little (and perhaps dumb) questions about uploading some images: I saw on the other sims wikis (french and spanish) some sims headshots which are way better than the ones I uploaded myself (for example the one of Macy Clay) and wanted to upload these instead of mines, but I don't know if I can do that without doing anything special, like an "unusual" licensing or something like that..

I also wondered how to "make" these headshots myself. Could you tell me how if you know?

RE: Fruits

I already have the Vegetables category written in the Food infobox. I agree with naming the category "Fruits from The Sims 2 Castaway (DS)", but does that mean that we'll have to name the other category, "Fruits from The Sims 3?" Well, The Sims console games are usually very different from their handheld counterparts. I think we should have the fruit and recipe pages just say that their from "The Sims 2 Castaway (Nintendo DS)" until we find out if they really are from the console version. I know that the Wii and the PS2 versions are the same, but I'm not sure about the PSP version. I'll see if I can buy The Sims 2 Castaway for Wii/PS2 and add the information on it. If the fruits and other items are also in the PS2 version, I'll add information about them on their articles and create new articles if the PS2 version features more fruits or items. But I'm still not sure. Just because it has the same features as the DS version, doesn't mean that it has the same items. --Random Ranaun 09:37, August 25, 2010 (UTC)

RE: The Sims 2 Castaway

As far as I know, they are both the same game with the same kind of story/objective. However, I do suspect that there are some differences between the console and NDS versions. Regards, Lost Labyrinth 16:16, August 25, 2010 (UTC)

According to the DS version review on IGN, it seems they are two different games as the DS version seems to start with the player falling into a crate and it is developed by a different team. Lost Labyrinth 16:21, August 25, 2010 (UTC)

The PSP version is different to the NDS version but according to the PSP IGN review, it is more similar to the console version although there are still a few differences (such as no fishing occupation on PSP). Regards, Lost Labyrinth 17:06, August 25, 2010 (UTC)

Not necessarily - {{Under development2}} would be useful after the release of a specific expansion, while {{Update}} simply says that an article needs to be updated for new games and expansions.
