Style note[edit source]

In general, our "house style" is to italicize the names of games. So, when you see something like ''The Sims 3'', and think it needs to be linked, change it to ''[[The Sims 3]]'' rather than [[The Sims 3]]. Dharden (talk) 14:56, December 26, 2012 (UTC)

RE: Restoring Neighborhoods[edit source]

It seems that you've done it right, except for the storytelling picture. First, go to your saved game folder in My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Neighborhoods\N001 (Pleasantview for example). You'll notice it's missing the Storytelling folder. Make one and leave it there. Now, go back to your installed game directory in UserData folder (the folder where you got the original neighborhoods). There's a Storytelling folder there.

Inside the Storytelling folder, find the screenshots you want. Remember, there's snapshot, and there's thumbnail. I'm sure you know which photo album belongs to which family. Notice that the snapshot (or thumbnail) has a file name like snapshot_xxxxxxxx_yyyyyyyy The x's are the family instance. So for example you want the Broke snapshots, the x's are 2dae7a30. Now find the XML file in that folder as well named webentry_2dae7a30.

Copy the snapshots, the thumbnails, and the XML file to the Storytelling folder in your saved game again. Do that to all the families in the same neighborhood, and there you have the photo albums again. :) Nikel Talk Vote! 07:18, August 7, 2013 (UTC)

The Baxter family snapshot is also in the Storytelling folder inside your The Sims 2 folder in My Documents. It's always there.
Can I suggest you something? Next time if you want to restart a neighborhood, try using Tarlia's Clean Neighborhood. It's better without excessive townies. Also she's fixed some broken Sim DNAs. Strangetown has the most occurrences. Nikel Talk Vote! 17:00, August 7, 2013 (UTC)

RE: The Sims 3 Network Error[edit source]

I quit patching through the launcher and downloaded the patch manually instead. It was rather buggy and every once in a while it said my game was up to date even though there were new store patches. Which version do you exactly have right now? 1.55 or 1.57? Just a note that I don't log in while playing anymore. And I haven't patched my game to 1.57, so I can't test it for you. Nikel Talk Vote! 15:43, September 10, 2013 (UTC)

Well, so I guess the launcher is a bit glitchy. Go here The Sims 3/Patch 57 and download it from there. There's a direct link on the article for you to download. It's rather large though, so it takes a while for you to download.
Are you playing while getting connected? Or are you trying to download Riverview? I'm playing without getting connected, and I can play in Lucky Palms just fine. Nikel Talk Vote! 08:44, September 11, 2013 (UTC)
I'm positively sure the link is correct. It's odd if playing Riverview requires you to update the game. But you haven't answered my question. Are you logged in to EA while playing the game or not? Nikel Talk Vote! 06:52, September 14, 2013 (UTC)
The patch file could not be read? Has it finished downloading, did it stop while you were downloading it, or it simply cannot be downloaded? What file type is the patch? .Sims3Pack?
As an emergency solution, if you still haven't been able to patch your game, just don't log in on the main menu. You still can play it offline without being logged in. Nikel Talk Vote! 10:30, September 14, 2013 (UTC)
Oh yeah, it's .exe, not .sims3pack. My bad. Yes, that's how I start Lucky Palms. New game and it will appear on the list of world dropdown. There's no need to log in. You didn't forget to install the world, did you? Nikel Talk Vote! 03:59, September 15, 2013 (UTC)
When you said it didn't work, did you mean Riverview wasn't on the list of worlds? What page did you mean, thesims3.com page or launcher? Run your launcher and look at your "Installed Content" and under the "Lots" tab. Is Riverview there? Nikel Talk Vote! 13:41, September 15, 2013 (UTC)
If it's not under Installed Contents, then I assume it hasn't been installed yet. You just need to install the Riverview. Have you downloaded it or not? Check your launcher under "Downloads" and "Lots" tab. If Riverview file isn't there, then try downloading it again. Or check the folder where your files are usually stored when you download stuff. Just remember that even if the file is under "Downloads", it doesn't mean it has been installed. "Downloads" means the content has been in your computer, but hasn't been installed yet. Nikel Talk Vote! 04:51, September 16, 2013 (UTC)
Well, I'm glad you can sort that out. :) Good luck with the patch, though! Nikel Talk Vote! 17:25, September 17, 2013 (UTC)

RE: Vandalism[edit source]

Thanks for the report! It's good that you've reverted the vandalism as well. :) Nikel Talk Vote! 02:21, November 3, 2013 (UTC)

I say we can keep an eye on the user. His only 2 edits seem to be only making false info.
For future reference, you seem to be capable of reverting edits, so a report is not really necessary. But when things get worse, like continuous vandalism, attack on other users, or edit warring, don't hesitate to alert an admin. I do appreciate your help, so keep up the good work! Nikel Talk Vote! 03:21, November 3, 2013 (UTC)

RE: Vandalism[edit source]

Hi Joey. I did revert that edit, but I chose not to issue a warning. One of the main tenets of wiki editing is to assume that a user is trying to help the wiki even if the result of their edit is not positive. Looking at the edit and simply noticing that it was a large edit doesn't mean it was done on purpose; accidents do happen, especially with people who have never edited a wiki before. Aside from that, some people might 'test' edit, since they might be unconvinced or unaware that their changes really do take effect immediately.

So, as I said, I did not issue a warning, since the edit in my opinion was not vandalism and it was an isolated incident. Often the best solution in cases like this is to just undo the damage and leave it at that. I hope you can appreciate my reasoning and justification in taking this action.

Thanks for the input. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 06:09, November 11, 2013 (UTC)

RE: Sandboxes[edit source]

Hey Joey (or Joseph, whichever you prefer!). Sandboxes are relatively simple to make. You just have to create a new page, and call it "User:Joey.eyeball/Sandbox", because then it will be linked to your main user page.

There's a button on the right of the navigation menu ("on the wiki", "content" etc.) that is called "contribute" and there you can create the page. Just remember to add the "User:" bit so it connects to your user page.

I hope my explanation made sense. Don't hesitate to ask again if you found what I said confusing because I'd be happy to help! Good luck in creating your sandbox, oh an congrats on 1000 edits! :] ~ Waikikamukow (Anyone wanna chat?) 05:30, December 1, 2013 (UTC)

Re: The Sims 2 CAS Lot[edit source]

Yes, I found the lot with SimPe and imported it into the game. I done it in brand new custom neighborhood since I didn't want it to interfere with my Sim and lot files. When you place the lot in neighborhood, it will look like empty. But when you enter it, you will see TWO roads, and the CAS house. Inside, there will be only 3 objects. First, there is a window in the room where you design your Sim (window is hidden in-game, but Numenor uploaded it on MTS. Second object is a mirror, half of living chair and bunch of wall images/paintings (all of these are actually one object that you can't delete). Third object is everything from the room Sims wait for setting relations (again, it can't be deleted). Outside, there are few trees. Note that lot may cause corruption so place it in empty neighborhood where you don't play or build. This is a tutorial for custom CAS screen but it also shows how to import the lot in game. RE: Polls[edit source]

I haven't forgotten about the poll. The poll wasn't changed until the middle of last month since I couldn't come up with a poll question at the beginning of November. If I change out the poll now, it will have only been up for two weeks, so I was planning on leaving it up through the end of the month. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 07:40, December 3, 2013 (UTC)

TS2 Sims skin tones[edit source]

I wonder if you had a comparison check when you're making changes to the skin tones of The Sims 2 Sims. Some of the Sims you "corrected" seem to already have the correct skin tones. So I'm asking now if you made a skin tone comparison, or actually checked their skin tones via SimPE one-by-one or what. I use this as a guideline when I corrected the skin tones long ago. Tell me if I'm wrong; I might be the wrong one. Nikel Talk Vote! 16:28, December 3, 2013 (UTC)

I was just double-checking to make sure if you had a measure before making the bulk edits. I won't argue with TS3 Sims' skin tones. I just wanted you to be careful when deciding the skin tones for TS2 Sims based on perception. Nikel Talk Vote! 12:22, December 4, 2013 (UTC)
No, Angela Pleasant really does have fit body shape. You don't determine Sim's body shape and skin tone merely by looking at their figure (well, yes, you can sometimes, but that's not the point). You have to look at their personality tab to see their actual fitness. Angela may look thin, but if you look in the game or from SimPE, she has fit body shape. Don might even be thin, on the other hand.
In The Sims 3, there's no real measurement to see whether a Sim is "fit" or "thin" or "fat". It depends on our own perception. But in The Sims 2, it can be determined in the game. Nikel Talk Vote! 11:10, December 5, 2013 (UTC)
Also, it's not unusual for pre-made Sims or Townies in TS2 to have mismatches between their preset fitness levels and preset body shape flags. For example, the preset fitness level may be in the "Fit" range (the upper third), but the "Fit" flag will not be set, so the Sim will appear Thin. Dharden (talk) 14:13, December 5, 2013 (UTC)
Yes, yes but all townies and NPCs, minus the corrupted ones and the objects like the Grim Reaper, are right in the middle of the "thin" range. C.Syde65 (talk) 04:16, January 7, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Dark/Light Blue or Blue[edit source]

If we could provide more specific information, we should go with it and put either Dark or Light Blue (both count as blue-eyed Sims). However, if we're unsure how blue is a Sim's eyes, we could just put Blue. We should do this because light and dark blue eyes are distinct in The Sims 2, but fine in The Sims 3. Nikel Talk Vote! 09:53, December 14, 2013 (UTC)

That sounds okay to me. Nikel Talk Vote! 11:20, December 15, 2013 (UTC)

Blond V Blonde[edit source]

Ok so I did some research, and I found this:

Usage: The spellings blonde and blond correspond to the feminine and masculine forms in French. Although the distinction is often retained in Britain, American usage since the 1970s has generally preferred the gender-neutral blond. The adjective blonde may still refer to a woman's (but not a man's) hair color, although use of the noun risks offence (see that blonde over there?): the offence arises from the fact that the color of the hair is not the person. The adjective applies to inanimate objects (such as wood or beer) is typically spelled blond.

So unfortunately I think the wiki may use blond because, according to the Manual of Style, the wiki generally uses American grammar and spelling rules. I'm not quite sure though so I don't think it should be changed yet, until a bureaucrat agrees. ~ Waikikamukow (Anyone wanna chat?) 10:12, December 15, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, I agree with you: I never really liked the idea either! Regarding ambiguous Sims, I wouldn't have a clue. But my instinct would probably be to pick the spelling based on their looks (but that's only me). ~ Waikikamukow (Anyone wanna chat?) 23:04, December 15, 2013 (UTC)
Well, no. :s I guess that would be the first step to fixing the problem. We'd better go and ask one of them to see what they think. ~ Waikikamukow (Anyone wanna chat?) 03:18, December 19, 2013 (UTC)
I just asked Nikel to see what he thinks. If we're still unsure about it, we could make a forum about it so more people can say what they think. ~ Waikikamukow (Anyone wanna chat?) 03:36, December 19, 2013 (UTC)
Well, okay. Since this discussion is about manual of style, this shouldn't be sole bureaucrat's decision, or any, for that matter. I'd advice we bring up this discussion at the forum. This topic has actually been discussed way back then. It wasn't a formal discussion, but at least several people participated in that discussion.
Personally, I'd prefer if we just use "blond" for males and "blonde" for females, although if it's used in general context, we could use "blonde". If you feel a further discussion is necessary, feel free to start a forum discussion please. Nikel Talk Vote! 06:09, December 19, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Headshot photos[edit source]

The Sims 2: I used the program SimPE (link here to download). Open SimPE, click in Tools tab -> Neighborhood -> Neighborhood Browser, and select the neighborhood where the Sim is. Then click Tools tab -> Neighborhood -> Sim Browser, find the Sim and select. Click the tab Plugin View (lower left corner). Click the More tab -> Open Character File. In the list that appears, browse to the file "jpg/tga/png Image" (usually there are two files with this name, but one is a picture all black, the other appears the Sim normal). Finally, just select Export and specify the location you want to save it to.

The Sims 3: I used the program S3PE (link). Once installed, enter the game, select the family and send the Sim to change appearance, or change clothes - open the CAS somehow. Save the Sim (clicking in the thumbnail), quit game, open S3PE. Open the file "Name of Sim.sim3", it's saved in the SavedSims folder. Click on the SNAP resource whose headshot you want to select. Select Export -> To File. Specify the location you want to save it to. It's done, with a detail, the image has a transparent background, but just use any photo editor to darken.

Hope this helps. If you have any questions, ask me! :-)

Re: Block[edit source]

I didn't block you... according to the logs you haven't been blocked at all from the wiki. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 03:18, December 22, 2013 (UTC)

IP addresses may be given to other users over time. Some IP addresses are registered, which means they'll always belong to the same owner until they are forcibly reassigned. Some users get their IP addresses and have it changed every once in a while. Many users get an IP address from their ISP once they connect to the Internet, and they lose it once they go offline. Because of this, it's always best to log in before doing anything on a wiki. Wikipedia is aware of this debacle, and thus never blocks IP addresses indefinitely or for a very long period of time. K6ka (talk | contrib) | NG Userpage | The Last Stand Wiki | The Sims Wiki | YouTube | Wikipedia 03:27, December 22, 2013 (UTC)
I looked into the IP address issue that K6ka mentioned, but according to the list of blocked users, there is only one outstanding block issued by me against an IP user. If the block I gave to Thebromaori is responsible, then you and that user must have very similar IP addresses, as I've never encountered this form of false positive before. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 03:36, December 22, 2013 (UTC)
If it happens again, try editing your talk page to request attention. The block for Thebromaori doesn't limit his ability to edit his talkpage, so if his block is incorrectly affecting you, it would stand to reason that you'd be able to edit your talk page as well. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 04:00, December 22, 2013 (UTC)

Muscular Sims[edit source]

I recalled that some of your edits (or few days ago) changed Sim's body type from "muscular" to "fit". I think muscular Sims should be that way, because in The Sims 3, there are Sims with relatively fit body shape, and there are Sims who are physically muscular. I know this kind of estimation is based on someone's perception, but personally I think fit and muscular should be distinct. Oh btw, this doesn't concern The Sims 2 at all, because TS2 clearly only has 3 body shapes. Nikel Talk Vote! 04:38, December 22, 2013 (UTC)

It's hard to tell for each Sim, especially that their body shape cannot be seen from the headshots. Anyway, I'm glad you have comparison to measure now. :D Nikel Talk Vote! 04:51, December 22, 2013 (UTC)
What do you mean? You mean you changed red eyes to custom eyes? Nikel Talk Vote! 05:02, December 22, 2013 (UTC)
Oh, I see that. I'm not really fond of that idea... For one thing, every single hair color in The Sims 3 are, in fact, customized. Their hair can't be considered "red" because the game can't recognize color, unlike in The Sims 2, which has a limited selection of colors. We say a Sim's hair is "red" because we see and think the hair is "red", so what's the basis if you see a "violet" hair "custom"? Nikel Talk Vote! 05:52, December 22, 2013 (UTC)
I actually prefer if we just go with the current system. It still has some advantages. For example, red-eyed Sims used to be considered custom color. But then, we decided to distinguish it to its own category. A small change on a template can maintain all Sims with red eyes, instead of manually turning the eye color from "custom" to "red". Nikel Talk Vote! 06:18, December 22, 2013 (UTC)
Are you sure? Putting muscular to the body parameter actually categorizes the Sim as Category:Muscular Sims. The documentation is just mistyped or something. I've corrected it just now. Nikel Talk Vote! 08:30, December 24, 2013 (UTC)

Your warning template[edit source]

It looks like the warning you've been placing on user talk pages (like this one) has an incorrect date/time stamp. When you place the warning on a talk page, remember to place four tildes (~~~~) in the Signature parameter, so the date and signature are produced correctly each time. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 13:31, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

Bluewater Village Townies[edit source]

I know the correct (original) names of about 50% of these townies, due to having learnt them off another site. Can you please tell me where in SimPE I will find the original names of these other townies?

It isn't easy having townies with randomized names. C.Syde65 (talk) 05:59, December 25, 2013 (UTC)]]

Aren't all already listed in Bluewater Village page? Or are there still some missing? Nikel Talk Vote! 16:24, December 25, 2013 (UTC)

Therapist's gender preference[edit source]

You have proof, fine. However it should be noted that he does not always have a gender preference. I've checked with SimPE myself. And how are you supposed to examine his gender preference in the game. I couldn't do that because I need him to be visible. C.Syde65 (talk) 06:26, December 27, 2013 (UTC)

Whoops, my mistake. I should've realized that you didn't add that gender preference photo of the Therapist. C.Syde65 (talk) 22:12, December 27, 2013 (UTC)

I've moved it now. It indeed needs a lot of improvement. I'll just add what's needed at the moment. Nikel Talk Vote! 03:53, January 14, 2014 (UTC)

About reverting edits[edit source]

I noticed that you reverted a couple edits to Crib; it appears that you did so by using the 'undo' button. I wanted to make you aware that there are quicker ways to revert edits in cases where the edits are not vandalism.

If an editor makes multiple edits to an article which are in good faith (i.e. are not vandalism), but which still need to be reverted, you can manually revert all the edits simultaneously by editing a previous version of the article. To do this, access the article history and find an earlier revision that you want to restore, then edit it like you would a normal article. When you save the edit, it will over-write anything which was introduced after it. This has the same effect as hitting 'undo' multiple times, but is much quicker and simpler.

For more information on ways to revert edits, see Help:Reverting, or talk to me. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 07:33, January 14, 2014 (UTC)

Just a note[edit source]

Please don't deliberately add some spacing between the pagecover and game infobox template on game articles, like you did in here. This leaves extra spaces between the first paragraph and the pagecover, which makes it not look good. Nikel Talk Vote! 17:37, January 18, 2014 (UTC)

Adoption[edit source]

As far as I'm concerned, child townies don't get adopted in-game. If there aren't any children that have been taken away by the social worker, the game just makes a new child specifically to be adopted. Is there any proof that child townies have been adopted in-game, without making them playable and getting them taken away by the social worker first? C.Syde65 (talk) 06:19, January 20, 2014 (UTC)

Really? Whenever my Sims adopt, they either get a child that's been taken by the social worker or they get an entirely new orphan. C.Syde65 (talk) 06:28, January 20, 2014 (UTC)
Absolutely not. I didn't even have SimPE at the time. But of course you wouldn't have known that. C.Syde65 (talk) 06:37, January 20, 2014 (UTC)
No, and if I did, these child Sims that the game uses for adoption were created exactly one second after I selected my adoption preference. Yes I am just talking about the child townies. C.Syde65 (talk) 06:44, January 20, 2014 (UTC)
I always checked to see whether there was any sign of them being pre-made. The answer was always no. And I checked on the list of all the Sims in the neighbourhood (all the Sims on the list were in creation order), and the adopted Sim in question was always created the moment the game needed someone to be adopted. They were always at the end or close to the end of the list. C.Syde65 (talk) 06:52, January 20, 2014 (UTC)
Maybe some users have had their Sims adopt child townies. But whenever I played, my Sims would always get an orphan fresh from Create a Sim. I'm not sure how to explain this, but if the adopted Sims were not made the second they were adopted, I would know. Once again, I won't deny that child townies have been adopted in the gameplay of other players. C.Syde65 (talk) 07:00, January 20, 2014 (UTC)
Like C.Syde, all the Sims I have had adopted as children were randomly generated on the spot; none have been child townies. I'm not saying it doesn't ever happen, but I have no idea what might control whether or not it does. As for randomized names, what I've observed is that pre-made base-hood townies and Garden Club members have fixed names, while pre-made townies from sub-hoods and those generated as replacements have randomized names. Dharden (talk) 17:12, February 5, 2014 (UTC)
I had a stray thought. What if it depends on the relationship between the child townie and the Sim who made the adoption call, or the Sims in the adopting household? Dharden (talk) 12:32, February 6, 2014 (UTC)

Oh, wow. Your avatar doesn't have to literally portray your username! It kinda creeps me out. :p Nikel Talk Vote! 17:00, January 21, 2014 (UTC)

Don Lothario's fitness level[edit source]

Sure it may be uncommon...or not? Other Sims in the Sims 2 have - or are close to reaching - top fitness, without having any body points. I have my suggestions as to why Don should be any different. But I can't be the only one with any. I admit that it is strange that Daniel Pleasant has 9 body points but he isn't very fit. C.Syde65 (talk) 08:07, January 22, 2014 (UTC)

Okay, and when I looked at Daniel's fitness level in my game for the first time I was like - eh? I'm sure he was fitter before (His page incorrectly said that he was fit at the time), it's time for him to work out! C.Syde65 (talk) 08:15, January 22, 2014 (UTC)

Sorry I haven't been able to reply your message because I just don't have the time right now. If no one had made it yet, I'll see what I can do. --Frostwalker Talk - Read 05:04, January 24, 2014 (UTC)

You've been nominated for administrator rights[edit source]

Hi Joey.eyeball! I've nominated you for administrator rights on The Sims Wiki. Please visit the request page to accept or decline the nomination. Good luck! K6ka (talk | contribs) 03:17, January 30, 2014 (UTC)

Dealing with unsigned comments[edit source]

Here's a tip: When editors don't sign their comments on talk pages and request for permission pages (or anywhere else where they have to sign), just go into the page history, locate the revision that included their text, copy their username/IP address, edit the current revision, and place {{subst:unsigned|Username|optional date parameter, should be in UTC}} next to their comment.

For example:

--The Sims rocks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by K6ka (talkcontribs) - Please sign your comments with ~~~~

Thanks! K6ka (talk | contribs) 14:17, February 3, 2014 (UTC)

Result of Administratorship nomination[edit source]

Your administratorship nomination has been declined at the present time. Note that you will not be able to apply for administrator or be nominated for the next 30 days, under RfA rules. If you have any questions or concerns about this decision or about the RfA rules, please contact me or another active bureaucrat. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 01:28, February 5, 2014 (UTC)

I can't deny that you may be a bit young to be an admin, but aside from that, it would have been great if your administrator nomination had been approved :) C.Syde65 (talk) 04:32, February 5, 2014 (UTC)
IMO, the key phrase is "at the present time". I hope that you'll re-apply in a month or two. Dharden (talk) 17:23, February 5, 2014 (UTC)
By "young", do you mean by age or experience? Experience goes much further than age does, C.Syde. There are teenagers that are administrators on Wikipedia. I'm a teenager, and I have more experience in wikis than many adults (in fact, I actually have faith in wikis where most adults think 70% of the content on wikis are made up, and some teachers even show their students how to vandalize Wikipedia. They're supposed to be "old enough to know better").
In any case, Joseph, don't feel too bad that you got turned down. Some of the best admins on Wikipedia were rejected on their first try, sometimes harshly. The only way a nomination being declined would stop you is if you gave up. K6ka (talk | contribs) 17:55, February 5, 2014 (UTC)
What I mean is that sometimes some people may be a bit young for some things, regardless of how experienced they are. I'm not putting down Joseph's experience, he is definitely as experienced, if not more than I am - considering that he's been contributing to this wikia longer than I have. As a matter of fact on the inside, I'm not putting down Joseph for his age.
I've only been playing the Sims 2 since July 2011 and I'm probably as experienced a player as any. I'm not yet an Adult myself, but I'm not far short from becoming one. C.Syde65 (talk) 06:09, February 7, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Rolling back your own edits[edit source]

Actually, you can rollback your own edits. The reason why your experiment didn't work is because rollback reverts all consecutive edits by one user to the last revision not made by that user. The reason why your experiment in your sandbox didn't work is because you were the only contributor to that page. Rollback can't revert a page that only one person edited, because there's nothing to revert to. K6ka (talk | contribs) 03:34, February 9, 2014 (UTC)

Re:Monsters under the bed[edit source]

I'm sorry. I do have a question, then. I had Supernatural but NOT Generations, and I didn't get the Check for Monsters option until I installed Generations. Do you know why that would happen? The Raven - Nevermore 22:26, February 10, 2014 (UTC)Slade81

Facial Hair[edit source]

Sideburns count as facial hair, don't they? Malcolm Landgraab IV has sideburns. C.Syde65 (talk) 06:24, February 14, 2014 (UTC)

Archiving your talk page[edit source]

Hi Joseph. I noticed that your talk page has over 45 discussions and is over 50K in size. Because of its growing size (and age), I strongly recommend that you archive your talk page. Instructions on how to archive your talk page is in the link provided - the only difference is 1. There are no bots that will automatically do it for you on Wikia (yet), 2. The archive boxes there do not exist on this wiki (we use a different template), and 3. There's no index or search bar function.

If you need help archiving, feel free to take a look at my own talk page and see how I've archived my talk page (remember that you need to enter source mode in order to properly archive a page), and some other users have archived their talk pages as well. If you are still confused or need help, or if you want me to archive your page for you (I'll be happy to do that!), you can drop me a message. K6ka (talk | contribs) 03:05, February 18, 2014 (UTC)

Luis Aspir's Simology[edit source]

I added a period to enthusiasm tabber in Luis Aspir's Simology to separate the tabbers into two rows. If the period isn't there, the entire tabbers will be pushed down below the Sim infobox. But I just want to make sure that I'm not the only one who sees this. Did it look that way when you removed the period? Nikel Talk Vote! 06:17, February 27, 2014 (UTC)

Did it not look like this? Maybe you could try zooming in / out your browser, or try adding some more tabbers to see if it looks like that in the preview. Nikel Talk Vote! 06:35, February 27, 2014 (UTC)
You definitely have larger screen resolution. This won't look too good with screen like mine. Try edit the page, add some more tabbers ±10
|-|Tabber =
and then see if it stacks under the infobox. Nikel Talk Vote! 07:18, February 27, 2014 (UTC)

Userbox/SimPE[edit source]

I'm not sure, there doesn't seem to be any icons to represent SimPE. If possible, I could try and create the userbox without an icon / headshot. C.Syde65 (talk) 07:46, February 27, 2014 (UTC)

If I can find one. C.Syde65 (talk) 07:50, February 27, 2014 (UTC)

Italicizing game names[edit source]

I've noticed that you've been cleaning up some of the italicization for games in the series (e.g. The Sims 2 etc). But, in some cases you're removing italicization that should properly be left in place. Take for example this edit which removed the italics around The Sims 2 in a block of italicized text. The effect of your action is that the words "The Sims 2" become italicized, but in this situation since the rest of the text is italicized it is proper for the game title to be un-italicized. Whether or not a game title is italicized isn't a major concern, so it probably isn't necessary to go out of your way to correct it where it may be incorrect. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 07:05, March 6, 2014 (UTC)
