Brandi Broke (née Newbie) is a premade Sim living in the Pleasantview neighborhood in The Sims 2. She is the daughter of Bob and Betty Newbie, from The Sims (both are deceased at the start of The Sims 2's storyline). She has two sons, Dustin and Beau, from her marriage to the late Skip, and soon after the player starts to play the Broke family it becomes clear she is carrying their third child. (Curiously, her memories show that she gave birth to Beau after Skip died, which means that Brandi got pregnant after her husband's death or was pregnant when her husband died.

Brandi wears a pink patterned halter top and tight blue jeans, and her black hair is pulled back with a yellow clip. Brandi and her sons live in a small trailer in an out of the way corner of the neighborhood. She has very little money, perhaps a result of losing her husband to a pool ladder accident, and therefore losing the income he'd brought in. She did have a job as a Drive Through Clerk in the Culinary career track, but quit shortly after Beau's birth, possibly to raise him properly. She has a hectic life watching her delinquent teenage son Dustin, caring for Beau due to his being a toddler, and being pregnant with her late husband's third child. She is known for being kind-hearted, sometimes overly so...

Her relationship with each of the Caliente sisters is just short of the friend level, though she doesn't seem to have much in common with either of them.

When first playing the family, Brandi is 22 days away from becoming an elder. Due to this, some players believe she had Dustin as a teen, but that isn't possible unless there are cheats or hacks involved. Besides, her memories indicate that she was an adult when she had Dustin. Therefore, it can be assumed that she had access to the Elixir of Life at some point after his birth.

She is not unique in this, as it has also been noted in Andrew Martin, of Riverblossom Hills' Martin Family.

Brandi has 8 points of Cooking skill, 2 points of Mechanical skill, and 3 points of Cleaning skill.

In this image and all other storytelling images of Brandi in her adult life, Brandi is wearing unused hair. It's hard to tell, but the bangs are different from the hairstyle she has in-game, which is not unused. The fringe is thicker. Her unused hairstyle is shown in CAS in a trailer for The Sims 2.

Brandi's Unborn Son(s)

When the game starts it is revealed that Brandi is pregnant with her third child. However, due to there being no father, the baby will take Brandi's genetics, and have black hair instead of the blond hair that Skip passed down; and will always be male. Of course, the player may choose to change the baby's hair color when he is older. Usually, the baby boy turns into a toddler wearing a blue shirt, brown overalls, and white shoes and socks.
