Tristan Hustev Straight is the adoptive son of Kirsten Straight and Sally Hustev, and the adoptive brother of Jeanette Straight. Tristan resides in Starlight Shores with his wife, Starr Straight.

Tristan and his wife currently have three children together: Dawn, Minty, and Sebastian.

Baby & Toddlerhood[edit | edit source]

It's unknown who Tristan's bio-parents are, or what happened to them. However, he was adopted by Sally Hustev and Kirsten Straight and given a loving home.

Childhood[edit | edit source]

Tristan began to meet other people around town as he began grade school. One day, he was dropped off at his aunt June's house, so Kirsten and Sally could have a day to themselves. He met a girl staying with them, a girl named Starr. Tristan developed an instant crush on her, but their time was cut short. Starr's mother, who coincidentally was Kirsten's BFF, soon left with her to go see a movie. But they'd still occasionally see each other around school.

Tristan turned 12, on the cusp of his teenage years. A new addition was made to the family, his little sister, Jeanette. Tristan was excited at the prospect of no longer being an only child.

Teen Years[edit | edit source]

Tristan still had a crush on Starr, and even planned to go to homecoming with her. He was ecstatic when she asked him. However, life got in the way. News came that Tristan's cousin, Dane, had passed away. A distraught Tristan canceled his plans to attend the dance, not ready to jump into a relationship.

A certain amount of time passed however, and Tristan picked himself back up. One day, he went out to the juice bar and ran into Joann. They started talking and wound up going on a date that day, even though Joann was a senior, and kissed at the end of the date. However, Starr, who happened to be walking through the park, saw Tristan and Joann together. Upset, she ran home. She would later start dating Eduardo Lobos. Tristan's relationship with Joann didn't last, however. Joann's parents had divorced shortly before she graduated, and she couldn't handle a relationship.

Tristan moved on, and Starr and Eduardo broke up. Starr asked Tristan to be her date to her grandmother's engagement party. He accepted. They went on an amazing date and shared a kiss before the end of the night. After only two dates, the pair became official; they just wanted to be together and had been friends for so long.

Early Adulthood[edit | edit source]

Shortly after graduation, Tristan and Starr became engaged. They were young, but their parents still supported the happy couple. However, the wedding had to be put off, due to the death of his aunt June.

A month later than originally planned, the couple had a small wedding at the park, like his cousin did. Tristan then took a job at the local diner. A year later, Starr's mom was getting married. At the wedding, it was revealed that Starr was pregnant! 9 months later, Starr was due any day, being far along in her pregnancy. One day she and Tristan were supposed to meet her parents for brunch. Just as they were about to enter the restaurant, she went into labor. Later that day, Dawn was born.

When Dawn was about to turn 2, Tristan received the distressing news that his mother, Kirsten, had passed. He was the only person to tell his sister, Jeanette, the bad news.

Adulthood[edit | edit source]

Things began looking up for the family, however. Starr landed her first reporting job, and her career only advanced from there. Tristan and her even began trying for another baby. However, Tristan's mother in law, Justine, passed from natural causes. But when one door closes, another one opens. Starr found out she was pregnant shortly after. Stress was added when Dawn started failing school, although she managed to get her grades back on track (with help from the family babysitter).

After returning from a date night and settling into bed, Starr went into labor. Later that morning, Starr gave birth to another daughter, who they named Minty. While his wife continued to advance in her journalism career, Tristan began to become disapointed with the lack of progress in his science career. He was still happy to pick up more of the housework though. As Minty entered grade school, he realized he wanted one more child. Him and Starr soon started trying, and she was pregnant for a third time. Starr later gave birth, this time to a son, named Sebastian.

A few months later, Starr got a career opportunity in Starlight Shores. She just couldn't pass it up. So Tristan packed up an bid farewell to his childhood home and they drove to their new house in Starlight Shores. Tristan later resigned from his job to spend more time with the kids.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Although both Tristan and his sister, Jeanette, have the Mean spirited trait, Tristan appears to be nicer than Jeanette, as he has a good relationship with his moms and his wife. This is rather ironic since Jeanette has the Good trait but Tristan doesn't.
    • It could be hereditary, as Tristan's daughter Minty inherited the good trait despite neither Tristan nor Starr having the trait.
  • Tristan and Starr have a reputation for being faithful to each other.
