Vivian was born to Duncan and Rose Pleasant. She is the granddaughter of the former Queen, Cecilia Pleasant. She was named heiress presumptive to her grandmother, while her cousin Kate Pleasant, had been named heiress apparent shortly before. Despite Kate being above Vivian in the line of succession, the two grew very close.
When Vivian aged into a teen, her cousin Kate died. Despite being devastated by this loss, she became heiress apparent to the Queen. The Queen had been ill for quite some time and only now was starting to show symptoms. Queen Cecilia died shortly before Vivian aged into a young adult, but despite this, Vivian immediately ascended to the throne, and was instantly sworn in as Queen. Soon after she married her childhood friend, Alex Faulkner. Per the customs of the Pleasant Family, she kept her name at marriage and passed it on to her children, Gregory Pleasant and Joanne Pleasant. She is also a genie, which she passed to both her children, and later to Alex Pleasant and Marilyn Pleasant. She has been the ruling Queen since her ascension and is still a strong, smart woman despite her age. After the death of her beloved husband, she grew quite melancholy and quiet, but still a strong Queen and head of the Pleasant Family.
