Yah Curious is the son of Kade Curious and Malta Curious and the older twin brother of Matteo Curious. Just like both his parents he possesses alien genes.

Later in life he married Alexander Curious (né Goth) and the two became the fathers of Max Curious.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Babyhood[edit | edit source]

Yah was born to his two alien parents Kade and Malta Curious and unlike his twin brother Matteo showed an incredible resemblance to both of them. The most obvious being his mother's big eyes while having his father's gray eye color. Although his looks and the attractiveness of it all was questioned by many people in town, he was perfect, and perhaps even a little favored by his parents. As the oldest of the two, he had already proven that the alien race is much stronger than that of the humans.

Toddlerhood[edit | edit source]

Yah was heavenly encouraged by his parents to learn his skills and learn them fast. As it turned out he did have great talent and had no problem learning how to walk, talk and use the potty much faster than his brother Matteo. This to much pride of his father, who helped him with these. He loved it when his mother would come in with some milk and cookies after a long day of skill building, and loved cuddling with her until he fell asleep.

Childhood[edit | edit source]

Moving on to school, Yah is extremely shy at first and a little jealous of Matteo who seems to make friends with everyone easily. He often catches other classmates staring at him which makes him feel extra insecure. He puts most of his time in studying and is proud to present his father his A+ report card not long after. He became extremely close to his father in this time as Kade was extra focused on making sure Yah knew his stuff. When Yah and Matteo were accepted into private school, Kade told the two of them that Yah had te possibility of going a lot earlier but that he had to wait for his brother Matteo to get his grades up. Yah thought it was strange his father had said that, but was a little angry with Matteo for taking so much valuable time away from him.

Teenhood[edit | edit source]

Moving on to high school, Yah still had very little to no friends. He developed an interest in antiques and the finer materials and spent most of his time researching, finding and buying unique objects. This widened the gap of friendship between Matteo and himself even more, as Matteo was a lot more social, got a girlfriend and seemed to do a lot better in school than before.

For the first time in his life feeling like he was running behind, Yah tried to befriend and date Tina Roennigke. Tina was another shy but intelligent girl in his class. He was happy to see that his parents seemed satisfied with his success in life once more, but he quickly realized that he actually didn't care much for her. He broke up with her and she was heartbroken. Every time that he would run into her in school, which happened quite a lot since they were classmates, she would burst out crying and run away from him. Yah decided not to date for a while and went back to his studies, antiquing and avoiding girls.

Adulthood[edit | edit source]

Being the highly motivated alien that he is, Yah starts his career in the law, hoping to make a difference for underrepresented aliens in Strangetown and neighboring towns. Although his intelligence has always impressed his parents, he can't help but feel that his brother's ability to combine his career with a family is overshadowing him. But Yah seems to struggle to find the right Sim for him, as he is constantly reminded by the Tina-fiasco.

It is a regular Tuesday morning when he runs into a handsome tall and mature stranger named Alexander Goth. Some people might call his appearance curious as well, but Yah immediately fell for the droopy eyes that belong to Alexander. Confused on what this stranger would mean for Yah, but excited to finally feel like he had gained someone special in his life, Yah did what every reasonable Sim would do: absolutely nothing but hoping that Alexander would make the first move. After several weeks of "accidentally" running into Alexander several times (more like having been in the grocery store for hours waiting), Alexander seems brave enough to strike up a conversation with Yah and get his phone number. It didn't take long for the two to start dating and Yah fell hopelessly in love with Alexander. It was only when Yah invited Alexander over to his parents house to meet them that Yah realized why Alexander had looked vaguely familiar to him: Alexander used to date his father Kade, before he left him for Yah's mother Malta. What followed was a very awkward family dinner. It didn't happen often, but this was one of the instances that Yah was happy he had green skin, as it was barely impossible to see him blush. He was convinced that during dinner he could see Matteo smirking at the whole situation, which made things even worse for him.

To his surprise, Kade talked to Yah after Alexander had left and told him that, if both him and Alexander are happy, that is what's most important. Kade had obviously moved on and started his beautiful family that Yah was part of. Kade confessed that he obviously very much cared for Alexander and that he would nothing but love and happiness for him, and if that is with his son he is thrilled about that. A little taken back and surprised by it, Yah hugs his father and tells him that he really likes Alexander and thinks that he might be the one to stay.

As Alexander was a bit older than Yah, it didn't take long for them to talk about marriage and possibly starting a family together. Seeing that Yah was an alien, he was convinced that creating offspring together would be something achievable for the two. When Alexander and Yah went back to the grocery store where they met, a whole flash mob appeared that Alexander had arranged, with him ending up proposing to him on the spot. Yah was incredibly surprised and so excited that he immediately shouted yes, and awkwardly tried to join the flash mob dancers. When he called his parents Kade told him that Alexander had already asked him for his blessing, which made Yah's heart jump even more. The two got married in a small but fabulous wedding and moved in together. Yah knew that it was hard for Alexander to leave his mother, a mysterious woman he had only met several times before they tied the knot, but thankfully Alexander understood that Bella was responsible enough to take care of herself.

After several months of trying to conceive, Alexander voiced his concern that he might be too old to still have a baby. Yah, not wanting to give up said that the alien science of it all must be a lot stronger than the human one and that the thought of giving up made him sick. As it turned out, it wasn't just the thought of giving up that made him nauseous, but the fact that HE was the one expecting. A little puzzled how they could have messed it up like that, both Alexander and Yah decided to not question it and enjoy the fact that they would soon become parents.

When hearing the news, Kade digs up several researches on male pregnancies that his father and grandfather had done, to help Yah prepare for it all. For this Yah is eternally grateful, as he had never realized that the baby does need to come out at some point. He sees how in love Alexander is with the thought of becoming a father and Yah is happy to see so, as he knows that the relationship with Alexander's father wasn't easy. Even though Yah is growing bigger every day, he is still committed to his career and earns several promotions, while trying to please Alexander at the same time as well by giving him as much time to bond with the baby and himself as well. Yah gives birth to baby boy Max, which to a bit of Yah's surprise is human presenting. Even though he loves his son, he is a little disappointed that his alien line will not be continued. It is even harder to see how much Alexander enjoys the fact that little Max looks a lot more like him than Yah. Because of this Yah decides to go back to work not long after, and leaving the care of Max to Alexander.

As Max grew older, it became clear that Alexander was simply too old as well to take care of Max by himself. This meant that Yah was forced to spend more time with Max, but he couldn't help himself but feel strange about his son that looked nothing like him. He realized that his parents went through the same thing as his brother Matteo and he decided to reach out to his mother to see how she dealt with a human Sim. At first Malta was shocked by the confession of Yah not feeling like he could ever like his son, but after a lot of crying, awkward sentences and confusing arguments, Malta told him that she understands but never gave it enough thought to voice it out loud, or even think of it in her head. She confesses that when she first had Matteo she wasn't sure if she could protect him from the world, because she doesn't know the world he would live in. But then, abandoning would be exactly the thing that her father had done to her and she would never want any child to experience that. It was a reason for her to love Matteo even more. Enlightened, but still struggling Yah is determined to bond with Max and teaches him how to walk and talk.

As Max gets older, Yah realizes that a human son is not all that bad. Max is intelligent and Yah is happy to send him to SimCity Academy, the private school every member in his family has gone to. With this new sense of human Sims aren't so bad after all, Yah tries to make amends with his brother Matteo, but he seems not too interested in a reconciliation. Yah does befriend his sister-in-law Kendal and niece Mara, and encourages Max and Mara to become friends as well. Although Matteo doesn't stop this from happening, he still doesn't feel inclined to better his relationship with Yah. Yah also realizes that he is so thankful now that his son looks so much like the love of his life Alexander, as he sees how things become harder and harder for him to do and their time together might be limited. At least this way his legacy will live on forever in their boy.

With Max going to high school Yah overhears Alexander and himself talk more and more about life after Alexander will be gone, and he often tells them that he doesn't want them to speak about life like that. The two ignore them and they often finish their talks with a promise of Max taking good care of Yah. When that one day finally arrives, emotions are high and Yah sees that he has never been closer to his son than he has been now. But once again it is hard for Yah to be around Max, as his whole being looks so much like Alexander, which just reminds him of so much sadness.

Elderhood[edit | edit source]

Entering his old age, Yah is confused about the state of life he is in. With his human son growing up and ending the line of Curious aliens, and his parents no longer here, Yah is unsure how to make the best of his last days. Although he learned to love his son dearly, and he is happy to see that Max has found a partner in Berni Rai, the fact that the alien gene seems weaker than expected by his ancestors feels disappointing to him.

Yah tries his best to hide his disappointment and sadness from Max, but he can tell that this isn't always that successful. When Max moves out and moves in with his boyfriend Berni, Yah only talks to him every once in a while. And even though Yah is there for bigger events like their wedding things don't feel the same without Alexander there.

It is with a great surprise that Max tells Yah that he things he might be pregnant, as he has been reading up on the research of his ancestors. Yah is baffled, as he had never thought that even though Max's outsides were human, his insides may be alien. His shock was even greater when Max gives birth to his granddaughter Yara, a bright green alien that resembles his complexion. Yah couldn't be happier and can't wait to bond with his granddaughter and teach her all the things only aliens would understand. But Max doesn't seem as excited as Yah about this and makes it very clear to him that Max will raise Yara however he sees fit. Confused and disappointed by Max's reaction Yah decides to secretly set up a plan to help Yara out on anything she will need as a young alien and sneaks all this information in hidden in gifts like children's books, stuffed toys and cute paintings.

Although Max accepts Yah's gifts, he voices that they are becoming too much and that soon they can't accept any more of them as they simply do not have the space. Slightly offended, Yah pulls back and decides to create one last huge gift for little Yara: a statue with different hidden clues on it. As he almost finishes his work and puts the final touches on the statue it tips over crushing him. After days of being stuck Yah is finally found, but he did not survive. Remarkable enough was the statue unharmed and delivered to Yara the next day.
