Postcard
Postcards are a collectible introduced with The Sims 4. The only way of collecting them all is by befriending multiple pen pals by writing them letters.
Before a Sim can write letters however, they have to find a pen pal first. To do that, the player has to locate the "Socialize" menu point on the computer's pie menu and choose "Find a Pen Pal". Afterwards, the player can get that same Sim to check their forum post for any replies. If the Sim gets in contact with someone, a notification will confirm this. After writing a letter to their pal, the option to ask for a postcard will appear. When the option is chosen, there will be a chance that the Sim receives a postcard in the mailbox the next day.
The Sims 4: My First Pet Stuff adds 7 new Post Cards to the Collection. Travelling rodents can bring home postcards. Postcards can now be placed on the corkboad area of the rodent cage.

Reward
After collecting all postcards the player receives the "My Pen Pal" award, which is a plaque that can be hung on a wall.

- The description of Lucky Palm's postcard is a reference to the phrase "What happens in L.A., stays in L.A.".
