Ruby Broke is the daughter of Flo and Flat Broke, and sister to the infamous Skip Broke, making her the aunt of Dustin and Beau. She lives with her large family, and wants to move out, but she likes being so close to them. She does not appear in The Sims 2, and what happened to her is not mentioned. It is likely that she would either be deceased or well into her elder stage by the time of The Sims 2. Ruby is also known for being a bit overweight, but that is easily corrected with some exercise on a treadmill. Even though she has the good trait, she wishes to "break hearts".
Oddly, she has red hair while her mother, Flo Broke, has natural blond hair, and her dad, Flat Broke, has natural black hair.
In more than one case, she has been known to develop a relationship with Sherman Bagley, although they are only acquaintances at the beginning of the game.
It is possible that she has some connection to Ruby Ann Hatfield, a character once available for download from the original The Sims website, since they are of similar appearance (allowing for the 25 years that theoretically passed between the two games), temperament, and economic status; but this is purely speculation.
