Repo-woman

Thanks for your congratulation for my numerous edits, but I'm a bit surprised since I only edited 1000 pages since my registration. I know I edited some more pages before but I thought the IP adresses attributed to unregistred contributors were changing with time... So I really don't know how you learned how much edits I made before my registration... Just by curiosity.

Anyway, I have some doubts about the name of the repo-woman from Riverview. I play the french version of the game and her name contains a letter usually absent in english, the "é". I just wondered if you could give me her english name, so I would be able to create a page on her. I already created some pages under wrong names a long time ago and I can't find hers on the internet.

Oh, and concerning your previous message, I fear I won't be able to add the Barnacle bay sims' pages... I'm not really fond of the SimPoints system and I don't think I'll download the town, unless it costs less than 1000 simPoints (the ones offered with the game). Can You fix

The same happens with sims with sisters.

I fixed the double redirects to File:Female.png, but it doesn't seem to be making a difference. The redirects work when the links are clicked, but not when the pages load. Dharden (talk) 12:42, September 4, 2010 (UTC)

ETA: Curiouser and curiouser. I checked in the Sandbox, and it's working there, and seems to be working when I went to edit mode on one of the affected pages and clicked Preview without changing anything. Whoops, my bad! I found a picture better than female.jpg. Trouble was it was female.PNG and the JPG portion was hardcoded into Template:Relative so I figured a redirect would be the way to do is, but the cache system makes fools of us all. I know multiple files were already redirecting to female.jpg but it never occured to me that it would result in double redirects, I guess it must've been late :p Once again, sorry for giving you a scare. Patch problem

So, I edited the 2 pages. But, I'm not really sure for "Sim-eater". Because "Croqueur de Sims" (or "Croqueuse de Sims", the feminine) come from "Croqueur de femmes" (or "Croqueuse d'hommes") which litterally means "(Wo)men-eater" but I think it has not really the same signification in English... In fact, "croqueur de femmes" is a synonym of Womaniser (and "Croqueuse d'hommes" the same thing but for women).

I will recommend that you test the signature on a test page or in the sandbox (using previews without saving is fine) before you put it in preferences. In my experience it's a good idea to include a link to your talk page, since people will use that as a link when they want to reply to you or contact you. Some people also include a link to their contributions, but I personally don't use that much. You can also check Help:Signature which contains some good advice about what is a good signature and what is a bad signature. --Duskey^talk 23:12, September 17, 2010 (UTC)

Cheats in The Sims

In general, cheats in The Sims were pretty stable. There were a few that only applied to the initial unpatched release, and a few that were eventually folded into the UI, but I don't recall that EPs actually added new cheats. Simcontributor's "mother", wait wait wait. First of all, I blocked him, on request by another user, not Duskey. Don't put the blame on him. Patches and secret lots

Hey, I need some wisdom here... It's about Apartment Life patch. I've downloaded it 3 times and at 99,97% it always stopped. I've had enough and I wanted to ask you this. If I install Mansion and Garden stuff, will it include Apartment Life patch too?

Also, if I create a college or a vacation destination, will it automatically include its secret lot? Or do I have to make it myself? Or, is secret lot not available to custom vacation destination and college?

I don't see why. Administrative tasks are at a minimum. There's rarely any articles for deletion and when there is, they're deleted quickly. Vandalism is also low and also handled quickly. --Duskey^talk 04:13, September 23, 2010 (UTC)

Just A Question

Ello! I was just browsing the wiki when I saw the cheat page for The Sims for the iPhone. (that was you who put the cheat there right?) Anyway, I followed the steps and my simoleons didn't seem to grow. When I have an unlimited amount is it supposed to show that the amount is growing of do I just assume that they are all there. pt.sims issues + rollback request

Sorry to jump in as well - they are not forbidden under all cases, but it's highly variable. Typically, if a user creates a new account, they're expected to discontinue using their old one. Alternatively, multiple operating accounts are sometimes acceptable if the person is not trying to hide that fact and doesn't use the dual account to their advantage, or improperly (i.e. to sway a vote or discussion their way).

Monster (and any user that wants a new account) will probably have to present a convincing reason to have another account, because it's typically not enough to just want to have a second account - you usually need to have a good reason for it. -- LostInRiverview ^{talk · blog} 18:52, September 29, 2010 (UTC)
