There are several fictional companies in The Sims series that are mentioned in object descriptions, career chance cards, adventures and Sim biographies. Like many names in The Sims universe, they can be a play on words relating to the type of object(s) they sell. They may also be plays on the names of real-world companies.

Several fictional car brands are included. Some examples are Yomoshoto, a sedan manufacturer, Vorn, which produces the P238 and the Stallion in The Sims 3, and the luxury, supercar brands Hwang Motors and Margaret.
