Copy-paste move

Also, is it okay to copy information from one page to another? For example, I made a "Rodent" page and I copied the best description from other pages to the page. On other wikia pages, there are "templates" and I can reuse it on other pages. For example, I create the content on Template:KraftMatic Woodworking Table and used it on both the KraftMatic Woodworking Table and the Woodworking Table so... not only the KraftMatic edits is used, its content is shown on more pages. Hey, I have been editting the food cart recently. I have found out that The Sims version of Espresso bar is included in Food Cart#The Sims section. Should we include the espresso bars as food carts? Japanese Premades

Apparently, Bob and Betty have different personalities on Asian versions of The Sims 1. Bob is a default Aquarius (rather than a 3/6/4/6/6 Aquarius), and Betty is a default Aries (just like Diane Pleasant). Unlike his USA/Europe counterpart, Asian Bob Newbie has no skills when first played, too. Should the asian sims be split into different pages (following a similar rationale as Skip Broke (hidden)) or just stay on their international counterparts' pages? -- Ryo205 22:14, March 8, 2019 (UTC)

TS1 CM Actors

Should the folks from TS1 commercials be considered "Promotional Sims"? Yeah, they're actors. But they act like sims, and unique sim versions of them were created (and are briefly seen on the commercials themselves).

That rationale would also apply to the MTV folks. Extending other skin packs, such as Mac and Elise from SSX and the Command & Conquer Renegade folks would probably be too much (or not?), and Sid Meier is explicitly based on a real person anyway.

copy-pasting and consensus

So, you undid my revisions to the Malcolm Landgraab page claiming they are not allowed which leaves me confused. Is there any way to merge two pages that doesn't involve copy-pasting? Also, Maxis has confirmed that Malcolm is the same character as the one in the console games (see here: Talk:Malcolm_Landgraab#Official_confirmation). How is there still a consensus needed if something has been officially confirmed? —Gvaudoin 💬 15:32, June 3, 2019 (UTC)

It seems that merging pages is more diffictult than I thought so I won't be attempting it any longer. I merged the articles about Malcolm after the first comment but again I still don't see why consensus is needed. Do people need to agree with the official canon? One of these comments doesn't even respond to anything I said. They simply forgot to put a headline...

I tried to adress another consensus issue here: Talk:Darling_Walsh#Speculation. You decided that the consensus was that the character might be "non-binary" when nobody else even mentioned that. I tried to adress this twice and got one response agreeing with me but like so many other discussions this never went anywhere.

This is extremely frustrating. Why not just put information from the game on the page and point out potential inconsistencies which would actually be helpful to someone looking for information? Instead a decreasing number of editors engages in increasingly absurd discussions about multiple universes. hi! it's okay, don't worry, I was not trying to rush you at all, I also haven't been on here for a long time. thank you for the heads up! What I meant is that for each Sim there's a section in the template "|economicstatus = Rich" that would automatically categorize the article, according to the Economical Status described in the template, instead of having to categorize manually. Hi, sorry I needed to test a link that only appeared for fanon pages but it should be all good now! That said, you should no longer need separate family templates (like family1, family2, etc.) as themes is fixed to just work off the main one for it.

QuickLicense no working in Russian The Sims Wiki

Sorry, this is just a misunderstanding! the fact is that I am testing a button for issuing a license for images on a Russian-language wiki, and by technical chance it creates blank pages in this wiki. I apologize, with respect Lindenmann, to the Russian-speaking community of The Sims Wiki. Please, you can do something to make the script work on our wiki, to add a license in images, and not to transfer it to your wiki with a blank page!
