Deena Smith (née Curious) was the daughter of Lucas Curious and Camryn Curious.

Later in life Deena married Keef Smith and got a son named Jack.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Babyhood[edit | edit source]

Deena was born to Lucas and Camryn Curious and was received with an inmense amount of love and excitement. Not long after her birth her cousin Vin Curious was born, the son of her uncle Joshua Curious and aunt Tiffany Curious that lived with them. She spend a lot of time with her cousin Vin as her mother took care of both of them most days.

Toddlerhood[edit | edit source]

What Deena remembers most of this time is playing and befriending Vin, while her mother took them to places like the park or the playground. She did not see her father a whole lot as he had to put in extra time to provide for the family, but she still has some memories of him. He taught her how to walk and the other two toddler skills of how to talk and go potty were taught by Camryn. Her grandparents Lucifer and Tessa visit from time to time, and Deena especially bonds with her grandmother as she likes the green color of her skin a lot.

Childhood[edit | edit source]

With Deena going to school, her parents decide to put her in SimCity Academy, the same school her father went. She comes more aware now of the tension between her parents and her uncle and aunt, but doesn't really know why. Around this time her aunt Tiffany gives birth to her second cousin Harper, which excite her as she finally has a girl friend in the house living with her. She befriends distant relative Lars Beaker as well as Mandy Grunt and her mother often calls her a social butterfly, hopping around making friends all over town. When her grandmother dies of old age, she is extremely saddened by this as she never had to deal with death before. Luckily her mother as well as her friends give her enough distraction to enjoy the rest of her childhood.

Teenhood[edit | edit source]

Moving on to high school, Deena meets distant relatives Ana and Emma, as Emma is part of her class. She befriends Ana while Emma seems a little too weird for her taste. Still remaining her friendship with Lars she meets two other alien boys named Buzz Grunt jr. and Keef Smith. Although she likes Keef, she can see that he has the biggest crush on her but is also incredibly shy and she can't help but to play with that a little bit. It takes him the longest time to go talk to her and when he finally does he doesn't even ask her out! She reaches out to Buzz, as she knows that they are friends and tells him that he should really help his friend out. Surely enough not much later a very shy Keef shows up again, asking Deena out on a date. She happily accepts and the two start dating.

As her parents got older, she gets trusted with more of the worries and concerns they were carrying around. Slightly by accident, they tell her that they think that Harper is not the biological daughter of her uncle Joshua. They swear her not to say anything to Harper, or Joshua and Tiffany for that matter, as speaking on it has caused them troubles in the past. As Deena is still good friends with Harper, she finds this hard to keep from her and decides the best way to not tell her is to distance herself from her.

Adulthood[edit | edit source]

After graduating high school Deena is not sure what to do next, she would like to go to college but isn't what she exactly wants to do. Her parents encourage her to go as well. They went to college and are very happy with how their careers have turned out because of it. On the other hand of things is she still dating Keef who already chose his career path. He had asked her to move in with him and after talking to her parents about it she decided to do so. Keef had big aspirations for his career and hoped for Deena's full support, which she gladly gave. When he suggested to start a family and for her to stay at home mom, she was hesitant at first as she was well educated and would love a career on her own, but Keef convinced her that his would be temporarily just so could get his career of the ground. She agreed and Keef propose to her.

With the two being engaged now they started trying for a baby and it was quicker than expected that Deena turned out to be pregnant. Keef seemed thrilled, but Deena had a feeling that this was more because a baby would fit greatly for his campaign. When Keef proposed to get married in their front yard, which was filled with graves from his ancestors, Deena put her foot down. She told him that she would not marry in a place where death was so close to her. Keef caved and they chose a place where the graves could not be seen. She loved her wedding and was thrilled to be surrounded by her family as they told her how much they liked Keef and how well the two seem to fit together. When she tries to bring up that she's sorry for very few family members of Keef's side showing up, he cuts the conversation short and tells her that his family just isn't this way like hers is.

After growing bigger and bigger, Deena finally gives birth to baby boy Jack Smith. Her parents are over the moon being grandparents and visit as often as they can, which doesn't always put Keef in a good mood, as he prefers to relax after a long and hard day of work. Deena tries her best to mediate between them but luckily her parents seem to understand. She teaches Jack some of his toddler skills has he is getting older and makes sure that he knows how to walk and talk. Around this time both her parents die of old age, which saddens her greatly and makes her regret a little that she told them they should come over less. Thankfully her cousin Vin has been very helpful with all the arrangements for the funeral and tells her that whatever has happened was the right thing.

As Jack grows older Deena brings up to Keef that she might want to start a career, but Keef is not very thrilled about that idea at first, as it meant more responsibilities at home. Not willing to fight about it Deena drops it and tells him that she will wait till Jack goes to high school, to which he agrees. She puts Jack in private school, to honor the Curious tradition of good education and even though Jack is a lot more shy than she was at that age, she can tell he is having a good time. With a lot more free time as Jack is in school now, Deena decides to browse for her next career step and finds a job opening in the education career that catches her interest. Without telling Keef she applies for the job and to her surprise she gets hired. When she tells Keef about it he is not happy as she didn't wait like she promised to, but Deena tells him that these few years are not going to make a huge difference. Keef, although not happy about it agrees that this is something she should do and promises that he will help out with Jack whenever he gets the chance.

Elderhood[edit | edit source]

Although Deena is getting older, she thoroughly loves teaching and is good at it. She does miss out on a few important milestones for Jack, like him taking his girlfriend Marie Mazza home for the first time. But luckily there are plenty more times to make up for that as the two are engaged after graduating high school. She is also happy to hear that Keef is finally retiring and focusing on something else than his career. He even gives her a beautiful apology telling her that he has been awful the last few years. She didn't really think he was being awful, but she does love him even more for apologizing and stepping up. Jack however is not as forgiving as she is and she sees how Keef is struggling to make things right with Jack. She does everything she can to help Keef out, but also tells him that time and patience is of the essence. When her first granddaughter Morgan is born Deena wants to spend more time with her before it is too late and decides to retire. As her second grandchild Phineas is born she can tell that Jack is getting along with Keef greatly, which makes her incredibly happy. She teaches Morgan how to potty to much appreciation of Marie and Jack, who are sick of seeing one more diaper.

Unfortunately the inevatible happened and she finds Keef dead waking up one morning, he had died peacefully in his sleep. Saddened by this, she looks for some comfort by her grandchildren. While looking at them play and seeing her beautiful son taking care of his beautiful family, she realizes that life for her in this world is finished, and gosh it was a great one. That night, Deena passes away in her sleep.
