Re: Thanks[edit source]

No problem :D. Sparrowsong 20:41, June 28, 2010 (UTC)

Adding headshots to Sim articles[edit source]

When adding a headshot to a Sim's article that is missing one, please put it in the "image" section of the infobox template. It should look something like this:

|image = [[image:headshot_largeJenniJonesBrown.jpg]]

Thanks. Dharden 13:32, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Bored? Come chat![edit source]

Hey! If you're bored or looking for something to do, you should stop by the Sims Wiki IRC Channel. We're trying to generate as much interest as we can in it, since it often sits unused. Anyways, there's some people there at the moment, so if you want to stop by and chat, that would be great! See you around! -- Patrick (LostInRiverview) (talk)(blog)(random page) 22:47, July 19, 2010 (UTC)

Fanon & Player Stories[edit source]

I see you marked Mary-Jane Ronowles/Player stories for deletion. While 'fanon' is not allowed on The Sims Wiki player stories are, as long as they're kept in the 'Player Stories' sub-pages. Out front page has the following information:

With the exception of the player stories feature, fanon is not allowed on The Sims Wiki.

I removed your nomination from the page. If you have any further questions about this message or this wiki, you're welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Duskey(talk) 13:58, July 20, 2010 (UTC)

Actually I think the mistake is mine. There is no Sim called Mary-Jane Ronowles. I apologize. I will delete the page. Duskey(talk) 14:27, July 20, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Eva Drudge hair question[edit source]

No, that was anon user 98.228.48.158 . I just spellchecked it and reworded it to be less clunky. Dharden (talk) 19:04, July 21, 2010 (UTC)

ETA: Added {{confirm}} template to that.

I don't think you need to ask before removing something that you know to be wrong. Dharden (talk) 19:22, July 21, 2010 (UTC)

Downtown cemetery in Late Night[edit source]

At this point, it's best to limit posting about what will be in Late Night to things that have been definitely stated, with sources that can be linked to. You're probably right that there probably will be a cemetery; but if that's all you have at the moment, it's best to not say anything. Hold off on posting about a Downtown cemetery until there's some definite information to pint to, OK? Dharden (talk) 23:42, July 21, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for your images[edit source]

When you upload images, remember to add licensing information and out them in the correct category. See File:Headshot largeMelissaSpitzig..png as an exmaple. Good work! If you have any further questions about this message or this wiki, you're welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Duskey(talk) 12:45, July 22, 2010 (UTC)

I see you added more images, but without licensing and categories. It must have been late :p Duskey(talk) 14:14, July 24, 2010 (UTC)

A note[edit source]

Could you please spellcheck your contributions? And the format you're using for townies' personalities looks a bit messy. I don't really see the point of adding that information myself. What use would it be other than in a very limited set of circumstances? --Aaaaannooooo!!! 13:30, July 23, 2010 (UTC)

Okay, thanks very much. --Aaaaannooooo!!! 13:40, July 23, 2010 (UTC)

Please clarify this[edit source]

From the Morgana Wolff article: "Morgana is shown as very workwoman" . I cleaned up the English as well as I could, but I have no idea what "very workwoman" is supposed to mean. Dharden (talk) 14:13, July 23, 2010 (UTC)

The next time I leave something out that I meant to put in won't be the first. Dharden (talk) 14:24, July 23, 2010 (UTC)

Nuthatch?[edit source]

If you're going to have a category for "Sims with a nuthatch", it would be useful to tell what a nuthatch is. The only definitions I can find say that a nuthatch is a type of bird, and I doubt that's what you mean. Dharden (talk) 18:17, July 23, 2010 (UTC)

"Category:Repairmans/womans"[edit source]

It's "Repairmen/women" . Moving or renaming categories doesn't seem to be possible, so I'm going to delete it. Dharden (talk) 14:16, August 2, 2010 (UTC)

Someone else has created a category called "Repairmen". Use it, OK? Dharden (talk) 15:25, August 2, 2010 (UTC)

92.0.112.152[edit source]

I think the reason Player Stories templates keep getting deleted or pushed down the page is that many people don't realize what they are. They use the rich-text editor, so all they see is a green puzzle piece that doesn't really say what it is or what it's for. So, I don't think that's vandalism, but new-user fumbling. Thanks for being on top of it, though.

Duskey and I each left notes on the IP's talk page, but there's been no response, so I don't know if they've seen them. Dharden (talk) 19:48, August 4, 2010 (UTC)

They cleared content again with the Sandra Roth player stories page, and have been officially warned. I am less inclined to think of their actions as new-user fumbling. Dharden (talk) 22:12, August 4, 2010 (UTC)
General policy is not to block IPs for too long because they can be used by more than one person -- but if he or she offends again, I will block. Dharden (talk) 22:32, August 4, 2010 (UTC)
I gave them a 3-day block. I also set the article back to the way it was before their edit, and re-added their story. Dharden (talk) 14:27, August 5, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Hi Duskey[edit source]

I have no idea. I only know what's already in the Late Night article. Duskey(talk) 19:53, August 5, 2010 (UTC)

I don't know, I didn't play Hot Date or Nightlife that much. Duskey(talk) 20:24, August 5, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Neighborhood[edit source]

I did a little bit of searching, and according to a piece I found at GameSpot, the name "Bridgeport" is real. I added the link to Neighborhood as a reference. Dharden (talk) 21:19, August 16, 2010 (UTC)

Image categories[edit source]

About the recent addition of categories to a Late Night image: There's no need to put all images into Category:Images since we have Special:ListFiles for that. Also the category Category:Images of Sims is only used if there's no sub-category to put it in. It might also be premature to put it in Category:Images of Sims 3 Sims since we don't know if she will be an actual Sim in Late Night. There will be a Category: Images of Late Night Sims when we're certain which Sims will be included. Duskey(talk) 09:02, August 17, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Downtown/ Bridgeport[edit source]

No, I don't think we should merge them since Downtown is a sub-neighborhood in The Sims and The Sims 2, but Bridgeport is a full neighborhood. Duskey(talk) 09:24, August 17, 2010 (UTC)

Re: New category[edit source]

Sounds like a good idea. Be sure to put it in Category:Sims by appearance. Duskey(talk) 09:55, August 17, 2010 (UTC)

To be honest, I don't visit Sims pages much, but I'll be sure to add it if I come across one without it. Picture related; she's got glasses on :p Duskey(talk) 14:19, August 17, 2010 (UTC)

Explain me why?[edit source]

It was too poorly written to clean up -- at least until the coffee kicks in all the way. Dharden (talk) 12:40, August 23, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Maid Article[edit source]

It may not be possible to make a Sim into an NPC maid, but it's always been possible to treat a playable Sim as a "live-in" maid. It's not necessarily easy, but it's possible. Dharden (talk) 12:44, August 23, 2010 (UTC)

Application for Administrator[edit source]

Hi G.G. I'm glad that you're showing interest in an admin position. Unfortunately, as you may not have been aware, the wiki is currently closed to requests for new sysops. I don't know if that will automatically disqualify your application, or if a morris will just wait to review it until after requests are accepted again. If you end up being denied because new requests aren't being accepted, I encourage you to re-apply if/when the requests page is back open. -- Patrick (LostInRiverview) (talk)(blog)(random page) 19:37, August 23, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, I've been an administrator since early July of this year. A morris is really the only active bureaucrat, and so she's really the one that decides when or when not to accept new admins. If you're interested, you might consider asking her when she'll be willing to accept new requests. -- Patrick (LostInRiverview) (talk)(blog)(random page) 20:27, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
I've moved your request to Requests for rollback since you'll need to be a rollback user before becoming an admin. Glad to see your application. Duskey(talk) 02:54, August 24, 2010 (UTC)

RE: Curiously[edit source]

I don't know, I haven't spoken to any of them, I'm guessing they got tired of the game or the wiki or both. Duskey(talk) 07:44, August 26, 2010 (UTC)

RE: Question[edit source]

As I've written on The Sims Wiki:Requests for rollback#Guilherme Guerreiro I would love to have you as a rollback user, which is now a prerequisite for becoming an admin. As you may know A morris is away at the moment, but will return in a few days. She is the only active bureaucrat and only they can promote and demote users. I will remind her to have a look at requests when she returns. Duskey(talk) 13:36, August 28, 2010 (UTC)

Protuding teeth[edit source]

Did you mean download? [1] I would edit it myself, but not sure if you mean download or if it's just some gibberish :p Duskey(talk) 21:12, August 28, 2010 (UTC)

No your grammar is fine, it was just a type, but wasn't sure what you meant, no harm done. Someone else already edited it. Duskey(talk) 21:26, August 28, 2010 (UTC)

Grammar Mistakes[edit source]

Well, you can't be that bad at English... at least you spelled 'grammar' correctly! So many people think it's spelled "grammer." -- Patrick (LostInRiverview) (talk)(blog)(random page) 22:21, August 28, 2010 (UTC)

No... 'Grammar' is the correct spelling, and that's the spelling you used. -- Patrick (LostInRiverview) (talk)(blog)(random page) 22:29, August 28, 2010 (UTC)

RE: Danny Monster user page[edit source]

It's not a warning, it's just a message he added to his own user page. I don't know why he thinks she "needs" to return, she's just been on a vacation for a few days that is all. Even though Monster is a sysop, he cannot block a bureaucrat so don't worry. Duskey(talk) 11:35, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

The first countdown is a ETA(estimated time of arrival)The Second one is the time she said she would be back.-- Danny (Monster2821) (talk)(random page) 11:46, August 29, 2010 (UTC)
a morris is NOT inactive, she has merely been absent for about a week to go on vacation. Monster's comments on the request page is merely him trying to hurry up the process of adopting a new set of rules for becoming a bureaucrat. Note that these rules have not been finalized and until then, sysops can not request to become a bureaucrat. Duskey(talk) 11:52, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

2,000 edits[edit source]

Congratulations on hitting 2k edits! Duskey(talk) 11:53, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

Grats again!!! Duskey(talk) 18:39, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

RE: Welcome to Wikia[edit source]

Thanks xD. I'm not so much on this wiki as I'm more interested in http://www.lotro-wiki.com/ :) Isabelle87P 14:59, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

O.o I won't but I just like the other game better ;) And I have a tendency to change some pages according to my point of view :P. My contributor page on the "other wiki" :D http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/User:Isabelle87P Isabelle87P 15:03, August 29, 2010 (UTC)
