The Sims 4: Cottage Living[edit | edit source]
Chickens are added in The Sims 4: Cottage Living. They can be purchased using the Chicken Coop object in build mode, and Sims can keep a maximum of eight chickens. When fed, they produce eggs that can be collected for use in cooking and baking. Sims can also hatch new chickens for the coop, if they have a hen and a rooster in the coop available to breed.
A lot with the fox lot challenge enabled will cause wild foxes to show up and try to steal eggs from coops. Foxes can be warded off by owning a llama, which will spit on them and scare them away.
Chickens also appear as decorative neighborhood objects in Island Living. They can be seen roaming around Sulani, and are purely decorative. They cannot be interacted with in any way.
