Léonard "Léon" Darga (born Ramin Tang) was the husband of Emma Curious and the adoptive father of his nephew Kevin.

Biography Edit

Before joining the family Edit

Léon doesn't remember a lot of his first and human life. Out of context can be concluded that he was a student at La Fiesta Tech before getting devoured by a cowplant. It is likely that he was dared to take the cake by some college friends, however no one came forward claiming to have known him. It was unclear what his major was, but most likely he had not chosen one yet. Another plausible possibility was that Léon had just started college and in an attempt to make friends had challenged the cowplant by itself, hence why no one knew who he was. This meant he was a freshman before dying.

Léon was resurrected in a failed attempt to communicate with the Grim Reaper. A group of college students, also in La Fiesta Tech, had found a way to reach out to the Netherworld. Grim assumed they were calling for Léon and asked them for the price they were willing to pay. The students not taking him seriously and not knowing who Léon was, offered him 500 simoleons, resulting in Léon coming back as a zombie. Frightened, the students broke off the connection with Grim and destroyed their communication portal. One of them ended up calling the police, saying they had found Léon in his troubled state.

While being questioned by the police about where Léon came from and how he turned out a little more dead than alive, Léon was confused and didn't know where he was. His finger prints were impossible to read because of his skin, and any other DNA provided did not bring up a match with anyone in the system. The group of college students said that Grim had mentioned Léon's name, but that they forgot because of the anxiety they were feeling. Léon's identity stayed unknown. He was provided the name Léon by a nurse in the hospital while they observed him, as she was sick of calling him "Patient Unknown" to his face. He liked the name and it stuck. He chose his last name Darga from an ice cream commercial he saw on TV while at the hospital. He decided to leave La Fiesta Tech and move to a town nearby called Strangetown, hoping he would fit in.

Adulthood Edit

Moving to Strangetown, with very little money and no skills, Léon realizes that life might actually be really tough. People look at him weirdly and he stil has a lot of trouble taking control to most parts of his body. He applies for several jobs and most employers turn him down because of his state. He meets a death metal band and they are immediately obsessed with Léon, they offer him a spot in their band and he immediately accepts. He meets Emma Curious as he struggles to put some apples in a bag, as his hands won't properly close yet. At first Emma yells at him for taking too long, but when she sees him she apologizes and offers him help. She gives him his phone number saying that he can always call her if he needs anything and she will be there.

Being quite lonely in Strangetown, he decides to take Emma up on her offer and calls her up. She enthusiastically suggest to meet up in the park and that marked the start of a very close friendship. Léon really likes Emma, but has come to terms with the fact that because of his state no Sim would like to be with him. To his surprise Emma kisses him and tells him that she thinks he's really cool, which he had never expected. He is happy to let her know that he really likes her too and the two start dating.

When Emma asks him to meet his family he is hesitant at first, as he doesn't want to scare them but Emma convinces him it is okay. Here he meets Emma's sister Ana and her boyfriend Blair Mace. He can see that both are slightly disgusted by him and he feels immediate shame, but he also notices that they are trying to be nice and ask him questions on things like where he is from. This again is hard for him to answer because he doesn't remember. Luckily Emma is there for him and guides him through dinner. When Ana is proposed by Blair Léon is surprised and happy at first, just like the rest of the family, but he sees a look on Emma that he has never seen before. She storms off and he goes after to see if he can help her. Still kind of shocked by Emma's reaction, Léon learns from a very angry Emma that Blair used to be her boyfriend until Ana stole him from her and even though she is very happy with Léon right now, it sometimes still hurts. Even though this hurts his feelings at first, Léon understands.

Things go pretty well for the two after that, they enjoy their time together and Léon falls deeply in love with Emma, who seems to have recovered from the family dinner. She brings up marriage to him, and says that she would see it for herself and would like it to be with him sooner rather than later. Léon is happy to hear this and lets her know that he will ask her parents for their blessing, but Emma says that is not necessary as it wouldn't change anything. Léon is not comfortable with it as he knows how much it would mean for her parents but he agrees. When they announce it to the family, most of them seem surprised and Emma ends up defensive and angry about their lack of their support, while Léon is just embarrassed that the family does not seem to like him much. The whole thing is finished off with Ana bursting into tears and announcing their pregnancy which she had hoped to reveal as a surprise. When everything calms down Emma's father Drew turns to Léon and asks why he had not asked for his blessing, ashamed Léon told him he had no answer for that, not wanting to say that Emma said it wasn't necessary.

With Ana becoming a mother, and his wedding approaching, Léon starts expressing to Emma that he would love to have a bunch of children one day. Emma laughs it off at first, saying she isn't ready for motherhood and wants to have her wedding looking her absolute best yet. Which is exactly what happens. Their wedding is big, extravagant and expensive. He is not sure who all these people are, but he has never seen Emma happier before in her life, which makes him happy. After their wedding and with Ana's due date approaching, Emma confesses that she is ready for children now and the two should try for a baby. Léon happily agrees and the two start trying, but without succcess. It is then that Léon learns that because of his returned state to life, he has become unable to have any children. This breaks his heart and he feels terrible to let Emma down. After the initial shock Emma suggests that they could go live with Ana and Blair, and help them raise their son so it still kind of feels like they have a child. Léon is not really comfortable with that but Emma convinces him that Ana and Blair would love it, so he agrees.

When his nephew Kevin is born he sees how Emma is lighting up everytime she sees the boy. This can be difficult as he obviously needs to spend time with his parents and Léon can tell this irritates Emma. Tensions in the house grow as Emma gets upset with Ana and Blair often, while in return they avoid her and take Kevin to other places. Léon tries his best to distract Emma and invites her to watch his shows, which play almost every night. It seems to work for a little while as Emma shows up and shows her support, but one night Emma shows up, looks incredibly angry and tells him that she's not feeling great. Léon offers her a drink but she refuses and tells him that she's not feeling great and is going back home to sleep it off. Two hours later he gets a call from a very stressed out Emma that he needs to come home as their house is on fire. He rushes home and arrives around the same time as the firemen, who pull Ana and Blair out of the house and rush them to the hospital. Emma is standing outside, holding a very upset Kevin while talking to several policemen. Confused he asks what is going on and Emma tells him that she came home and the house was on fire while Kevin was crawling around near the front door. She could grab him before the fire got too big for her to reenter the house and then something locked the door on the inside. Léon is suspicious of this explanation but thinks that Emma might be in shock and not entirely sure of everything that happened yet so he lets it be for now. He is worried about Ana and Blair as they do not look well and he is right to think so. The next morning he hears that both of them have died from their injury. When asked who could take care of little Kevin Emma immediately volunteers, saying she has lived with him all of his life. Léon, still a little suspicious of Emma's motives confirms this and agrees that it is probably best for Kevin to stay with them for now. They adopt him not much later.

Léon takes it upon himself to arrange the funerals of Ana and Blair, as Emma seems to not want to deal with it. He is not happy to do it but hopes that this will give Emma some time to process and think clearly of what happened that night. He is uncomfortable with the amount of people that show up for the funeral, as the story has become quite a spectacle in Strangetown. Here he meets Servo Tammy Loner who was Ana's greatgrandmother and Jessica Curious, a distant family member through marriage. Both women show immense compassion with him. While Tammy's seen a lot more genuine and offering friendship, Jessica's almost seems a bit more suspicious and looking for answers of what actually happened that night. Tammy gives her phone number to him and tells him that he can always call if he wants to.

Léon tries his best to be there for Emma and Kevin and it seems like he is doing great for a while. Kevin obviously very much likes him, to his relief. However, it seems that Emma comes in between the two every time they're spending some time together. Things get so bad that Emma sometimes even asks Léon to leave or do something else while Emma and Kevin will eat, go to the park or simply watch a movie. Léon feels abandoned by his own wife and suddenly remembers Tammy's offer. Desperate and alone he calls Tammy and the two meet up. They talk about their losses, as Tammy has lost her whole human family by aging. She tells him that she is very grateful to have had two children, but would never do it again as seeing them leave is too painful. Léon realizes that this is something he will very likely experience as well, as he appears to be undead and therefor cannot die. The two find a lot of common ground and even though Léon wasn't looking for it, he finds love in Tammy that he has lost in Emma. The two spend more and more time together, but Léon's guild of having to lie to Emma, and more importantly Kevin is too much for him to bear. Tammy and himself discuss what the best thing to do next is. When Tammy hesitantly suggests him divorcing Emma, Léon brings something up he never imagined he would say out loud; he is afraid of what Emma might do. If she would hurt Kevin or take him away from her, he could never forgive himself. Tammy tells him that staying with Emma isn't an option, even if she wasn't in the picture. Their relationship is not healthy and their marriage is over. Léon knows she is right and reluctantly agrees.

When Léon comes home, Emma seems to be in a mood and asks him where he has been all these nights. Denying anything at first and not feeling ready for this conversation yet he says it has been work related. When she presses on the matter he confesses that he fell in love with someone else and wants to divorce her. As expected, Emma is furious and throws him out, telling him he will never see Kevin again. Léon, feeling terrible and not having had the opportunity to talk to Kevin, doesn't know what to do and drives back to Tammy. Just as he rang the doorbell he hears a noise and turns around. In front of him stands an enraged Emma holding a wrench and swinging it towards him hitting his head. After that everything turns black. From then on Léon's memories are fuzzy, he awakens a few times but keeps slipping in and out of conscious. He sees Tammy and Emma argue, while Emma is still waving her wrench around. As Léon seems to gain conscious he attracts Emma's attention who walks towards him. Tammy, wanting to defend Léon jumps in front of him, while Léon tries to embrace Tammy as to catch her if needed. Emma hits and all of a sudden Léon feels like a million lights running through his body, after that nothing but darkness.
