Theory[edit source]

I have a theory about the fulfilled moodlet mood bonus:

It starts at +15, and for each wish completed without letting the moodlet disappear, an extra +5 is added. Anyone have some proof/disproof for this theory? Pim gd 18:13, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

It looks like your desktop Gamma correction is set to 0% while mine is set to 50%. I used photoshop's gamma correction on your pictures, set to 200% to get the same gamma correction that happens naturally on my computer.—ErzengelLichtes (Contribs) 19:31, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

There are a lot that haven't been added because they haven't been found. Feel free to take screen shots, note down the name, worth, and source, and add it into the wiki. Fulfilled Moodlet Bonus[edit source]

Order?[edit source]

How exactly are these to be ordered? I'd suggest from most negative to most positive, or alphabetically. M. H. Avril 20:38, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

If you want that you just click the little icon that will sort mood amount, alphabetically, etc. The current order is Hygiene, Bladder, Energy, Fun, Hunger, Environment, Social, Traits, Other. It's then sorted as (other), Highest to Lowest. It's somewhat out of order in the Social, Traits, and Others section as we're mostly adding them as we find them. —ErzengelLichtes (Contribs) 02:16, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Table Sorting[edit source]

One of the moodlets has a mood bonus of Variable. It's breaking everything when you click ASCEND mood bonus or DESCEND moode bonus. Might I suggest either writing the lowest or the highest value?Pim gd 05:50, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

I recommend highest, with a note on it being less. I'm open to the other way, as well. Would "10 to 40" break the ascend/descend?—ErzengelLichtes (Contribs) 08:16, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
Lowest = Highest sorting is getting weird. That one is only fix able through giving stuff +010 bonus - which is weird.
The 10 to 40 places it at the lowest of it's group (10, 10, 10, 10 to 40, 5, 5...)
The stuff with the days and hours is done the right way though - that one sorts perfectly. Pim gd 09:15, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Cozy Fire addition[edit source]

You can get the Cozy Fire moodlet from being around a Fire Ghost. I have a Fire Ghost husband that my Sim met in the cemetary and everytime she's near him, she gets the positive Cozy Fire moodlet. It happens to any living Sim when they're around my Sim's Fire Ghost daughter who didn't die in a fire but rather born from a parent who had.

Unfortunately, I don't know every single moodlets description, and I want to know what everyone else thinks about it --Simpols

I like the idea, and we can always leave some blank spots with what we don't know. We also have the causes right next to them, so we can always induce the moodlet to find the text. However, I don't think we should implement it just yet. We should probably accumulate a lot descriptions and then add them in to avoid having one huge blank column with some text here.
I suggest starting a page or something (preferably something like a blog page or a My Page (User:Name/Page) so that it's not a normal article, but people can add to the list.

"Witness Betrayal"[edit source]

Does this moodlet affect all Sims around even if they aren't aware of it being a betrayal?

No, the Sim actually has to see the betrayal (flirting, kissing, what have you).

Unfinished Room[edit source]

Ambitions[edit source]

I think we need to add moodlets from Ambitions... I played it just for hour and I saw tons of new moodlets, so we shall start :D LuisaaaPlayer 10:33, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

Good job on the icons. Shouldn't be too hard to note the duration and ingame text for it now, this'll make it alot easier. While I'm here I'd like to suggest that Eco-Friendly gets a category of its own on the main page with so many moodlets associated with it specifically. Only the Recycled is available to other sims. Positive Time traveling - when Sim uses Time-machine:)

  • Negative Time Travelling - Grants minus mood. Seems to be random which you get.

  • Great Lecture - When a level 10 Education career sim does the interaction Great Lecture, it functioned like the Eye Candy lifetime reward where sims got it when they were in the same room as my sim. Lasted 3 hours after they initially bumped into him. It has no icon in my game though, might just be a fluke.

Sub-pages[edit source]

At some point we're gonna have to split list of moodlets into sub-pages. I'm sure we can expect many more EP's for Sims 3 and it's one of the longest pages we have, it also features many images, small ones, but many.

Time travel[edit source]

I see many people have added 'Time travel' as a possible way of getting some of the moodlets. To me that makes the page look more messy and some have even added the ambitions icon at those moodlets. Should we allow this or delete the notes on time travel? Duskey(talk) 20:47, August 8, 2010 (UTC)

New Moodlet[edit source]

Vampire Moodlets[edit source]

Should we add a new section for vampire moodlets or should we add them to their respective categories? Example: Slept like the Dead=Energy etc...PlantsvsZombies 03:53, January 23, 2011 (UTC)

I guess making a new category would be the best choice, even if he only have like 10 exclusive moodlets. I don't really like leaving the moodlets clustered around on several categories if we just can create a new category for the vampire moodlets. Christoffer395 11:21, January 23, 2011 (UTC)

Tomb Moodlets[edit source]

Has anybody actually seen the Mystical Feeling, Creeping Dead, or Humid Atmosphere moodlets or have they just been seen in game files, cheats etc...? If you have, when do they appear and why? Thanks, PlantsvsZombies 01:52, February 10, 2011 (UTC)

I've seen them! They appear when you assign them to a tomb room using the debug interactions. If you'd like the text, tell me to test it. They are "real" moodlets, not scrapped ones. |_Andronikos Leventis Talk 08:46, February 13, 2011 (UTC)

I'll see what I can do. Do use debug cheats on them, type ctrl+shift+c, then testingcheatsenabled true, then buydebug. Open the Buy Menu, Tomb items, and you should find a silver ball. You can get Energized by having a simbot fix something while standing in water. It usually works but you might have to try it a couple times.PlantsvsZombies 21:17, February 16, 2011 (UTC)

Cool, now all we need is mugged. I'm not exactly sure how you get it but I saw it on one of HeadButtArcade's vids so I put it up. I've been riding that subway all night trying to get mugged, even when an unlucky Sim was in a bad mood and feeling unlucky. But then I read an article that said it happened when they played for tips at the subway, so I'll try that in a sec. Look what I found though trying to get mugged!
Out of Sorts
Out of sorts happened when a grumpy sim woke up. Downtrodden happened when a star sim who had recently been publicly humiliated went to a bar and the bartender wouldn't give a drink for free like the star usually gets. I love finding new moodlets :P Trimalynn 02:46, February 17, 2011 (UTC)

Created a Nectar/Juice/Bars Category[edit source]

I created a new category because all of those nectar and juice moodlets didn't really fit into hunger.

Also, if I could get input on this--for the "Expansion" column, I'm feeling like only one icon should be listed. Like the base version of where you can obtain the moodlet. I'm seeing some with a Sims 3 icon plus an Ambitions icon. I think we should put the lowest level game where you can get the moodlet. Otherwise, really, moodlets like "Afraid of the Dark" could feasibly have all of the expansion icons because you can get that in all of the games. Let me know what you think. Publicly Disgraced[edit source]


I'm new here I just noticed that in the "List of Moodlets" under Social, the 5th from the bottom, "Publicly Disgraced" was missing a "From" method. I added "Looking for Scrap in trashcans & Junk Yards" as my Self-Employed Inventor was reportedly "digging through other people's trash".

..didn't pay no mind till I got good at it ;)

Consigment Store Moodlets[edit source]

Are the Feeling Cheap and Got Ripped Off moodlets only obtainable through the Consigment Store? If they are, we should list the reason for getting the moodlet as "Consigment Store" instead of just "Store" because that could mean bookstore, grocery store etc... Also, is there a Made a Bad Sale moodlet as well? Thanks, PlantsvsZombies 02:30, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

The reason I put "Store" was because for that particular column, I always put exactly what the Sims descriptor was. But I'll put Consignment in the notes. Thanks! (ETA: I don't think there is a made a bad sale, I have never recieved one, personally) Trimalynn 03:53, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

Duck Time Moodlet[edit source]

Contrary to popular belief, the hydrophobic trait does not remove the duck time moodlet, as stated on the hydrophobic trait page. When I deleted the information on the duck time moodlet that said Hydrophobic sims do not not receive this moodlet, my edit was undone. What actually happenns? Do they recieve the moodlet or not?PlantsvsZombies 17:50, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

I made a hydrophic sim take a bath with the duck and she still obtained the Duck Time moodlet despite being a hydrophobe. In fact, the Hydrophobic moodlet only appears when swimming (not sure about hot tubs). It doesn't appear when taking a bath (bubble or otherwise) or a shower. But the sim did cry after I made her take a bath/shower. I edited it back to the way it should be. Trimalynn 22:48, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

Moodlets that were going to be in the game[edit source]

Via a mod, I found some moodlets that are in the files but didn't make it into the game. If any of you come across these in play though, let me know and I can add them to the Moodlets page.

"Sanguine Snack"
I believe this one was replaced by "Sated"

"Walk of Shame"
The negative version of "Stride of Pride" probably.

This one may exist, but I'm thinking not. I tried the scenerio most likely, having a Sim throw up on the street in front of another Sim. The other Sim didn't seem to care even though she was looking right at her. :P Has the same icon as offended.

I think this one was replaced with "I am Beautiful", which has the same icon.

The following I believe were all replaced by the general "Saw a Great Film":

I've never received this, it may exist. I think "Fiendishly Delighted" took its place though.

We're familiar with this one, when the makers of the game were going to make the Eiffel Tower visitable, which it's not now.

Does anyone think we should move the tomb ones to this list since they only seem to be available in debug mode? The only one that has shown up in play is "Oppressive Heat". Trimalynn 02:28, February 21, 2011 (UTC)

I think we should keep the tomb moodlets where they are beacuse they can be seen it game, even if they are only obtainable by cheats. These ones, however, can only be achieved through a mod, right? Sanguine Snack is a real moodlet. It's achieved by your vampire sims drinking from their hunt target. Several of my sims have got it. Plasma501 22:43, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

"Lost the Game" Moodlet[edit source]

I'm really unsure about this moodlet but I believe it can be obtained by playing a bar game with somone for a long time until they quit. If you quit, I don't think you can get it but you have to wait for the other person to decide the game is over. I'm sure there's a Won the Game moodlet as well but i've only recieved lost the game and it was only for a few seconds so I'm not even sure if that's what it's called..Tell me if you see it, thanks, PlantsvsZombies 22:36, February 26, 2011 (UTC)

Time Travel, Drill Holes[edit source]

I know there's been a topic similar to this but do you think we should remove drill holes, time travel, science experiments, etc. from the reason for getting the moodlet and put these in the notes/comments section? Do you mean how do I cap them? I set the game up for 800x600 resolution, disable full screen. This I find makes the cap the size I want and if I do full screen and higher res, it comes out dark for some reason. I hit the print screen button then paste it into an image program (I'm using Paintsho Pro for this) and then I crop, make the corners transparent, and save it as a png. You know, I saw someone add that in the hidden traits, but I don't see it at all as a hidden trait. I'm using a controller that allows me to see all traits, and I don't see that one there. Crazy Drink moodlet[edit source]

As far as I know, the Going Wild! moodlet doesn't apply if the sim drinking it already has one of the traits: I've tried it with my Insane sim and neither the moodlet nor the other traits appeared, although this does work with a sim with none of the traits. Could anyone confirm this with a Daredevil or Party Animal sim?

Secondly, I also seen the Full of Life moodlet caused by drinking Mixology drink with the 2 life fruit ingredients, although as far as I know the sim making the drink with the life fruit had mastered the Mixology skills. I'd wish to hear from another person about the report.

Seconding the Life Fruit and Mixology: It seems that it doesn't always generate the moodlet. I will gather some more data, and if you don't mind, please report any findings debunking or supporting the claim above. Mathetesalexandrou 04:52, November 14, 2011 (UTC)

I noticed that Sell-Out moodlet occurred when a Rebellious sim chose the option "Suck up to the Boss." Similarly, the Fight the Power moodlet occurred randomly while working. Has anyone encountered the moodlet that roughly translate to "Feeling Unlucky" whenever playing with dominoes? There's a lot of elixirs in Supernatural and their effects, but I'm not sure how to categorize them. We might be able to make a new section for elixirs, but I'm in favor to categorize them in existing sections, such as "Chloroformed" to Energy need section. I began to notice that the Life Status section is getting more crowded recently. I think it's kinda inefficient now, since the first reason I redesigned the list was to keep the page not too long / balance the length of each section. I'm thinking about rearranging the sub-sections, as following:

I never think of that. However, most of the Plumbots' moodlets are quite as the same as Sims' moodlets. And some of them are nothing so special, but only adding a mood to a Sim. Faithful Moodlet?[edit source]

I started a sim couple as married when I had only Sims 3  & Supernatural, later I installed Generations and though both have been completely faithful (Painter and mom) 'Faithful' or 'eternally faithful' never appears. WTH is going on? I'm thinking it could be 1 of 3 things: 1) I started them married 2) I created them BEFORE having generations 3) Both. TBH, I'm also quite confused with this moodlet. In one game, I might get that, while in another, I might not. I think, like unfaithful reputation, it needs other Sims to witness your faithful romance life as a factor so they can trust your Sims as "faithful," but I'm not entirely sure either.
