Timothy Riley is a pre-made playable Sim, residing in Belladonna Cove, the neighborhood shipped with The Sims 2: Apartment Life. He is a widower who lives with his daughter Sally. Timothy is close friends with his neighbor Vivian Cho. He is one of few Sims that has a memory of making out with his spouse. Timothy's life has similarities to Vivian's, as they are both widowed. Their bios indicated that they are supposed to have a romantic relationship. Also, they will have a high chemistry with each other because they have matching personalities. When the family is first played, Timothy is 20 days from being an elder. He is voiced by Stephen Kearin.

Even though Timothy is a Libra, his personality indicates that he should be a Leo. This happens with many other pre-made Sims from The Sims 2. He has the Medicine career reward in his inventory, though he has no memories of having been promoted after becoming an adult. While he is unemployed at the start of the game, he lacks the memory of having left his job, which may have been an oversight by the developers. He currently has enough skill points to work as a Surgeon (Level 8) in the Medicine career. Timothy Riley could be perceived to be a copy of Pleasantview's John Burb. Both have the same hairstyle, similar clothing and comparable facial features. They both have good relationships with their respective daughters and would probably make great stay-at-home dads.
