Tomboy. Tease. Triathlete. Betty takes life by the neck, chokes it, and leaves it gasping for air. Mess with her and she'll mess you up right back, but get on her good side, and she'll be your friend for life. If you're looking for romance, make sure your Body skill is top-notch. Slackers need not apply.
Betty Newbie launched her international career in helpology after publishing the popular self-help book, "Unleash the Gender Neutral Metaphor Within", but she recently moved to town to help people on a smaller scale. She certainly doesn't miss the hustle bustle of the big city. Rather she finds pace of this town perfect for her brand of instructional tutelage.
Betty Simovitch knows her mother sees her as a second chance to reach the stardom she left behind. She's into music, but she's just not sure she wants to make it into a career in the same way her mother dreams about.
Betty Newbie (née Simovitch) is a Sim first introduced during the player tutorial in The Sims. After the completion of the tutorial, she (along with Bob Newbie) can be played like other Sims. Due to the chronology of events in The Sims series, she appears as a teenager named Betty Simovitch in The Sims 3, residing in Riverview. Aside from these major titles, Betty appears in several console titles, and appears (as a deceased Sim) in the family tree of several Sims in The Sims 2.
Betty lives in Riverview, with her mother and father Fatima and Vadim Simovitch. She wants to find the love of her life. She wears a light pink dress and has auburn hair. She is very talented with the guitar, as two of her traits are Artistic and Virtuoso. She is level 6 in the guitar skill and she is best friends with Bob, her future husband.
Betty Newbie appears in The Sims for console living with her spouse in 7 Sim Avenue wearing a blue cap, blue glasses, blue top, blue pants and red shoes. They both share a 20+ relationship so it is unknown if they are really married. Neither one has a job, but it may be best to put them in the Militarycareer track, since they are both very active. She likes to read, play in the fountain, watch TV, and look at flamingos. She appears as Betty Roomies in the Get a Life Storyline as one of the Sims the player can move in with after level 3, with interests in Travel and Music.
Life leading up to The Sims
Betty Newbie appears a bit later when playing the Newbie Family tutorial. Betty is considered the helpful house wife from 1950s suburbia. The Newbie home (7 Sim Lane) also has a 1950s suburbia theme, making it a custom rendered tutorial. She is not in love with Bob, but players who play the Newbie family beyond the tutorial can handle their relationship as they please (although every adult Sim couple is considered spouses in The Sims). She is characterized by her short black hair with a curl on the front, a purple shirt with green capris, and her wide body.
Life leading up to The Sims 2
By the time the storyline has caught to The Sims 2, she and her husband Bob are already deceased. Through her daughter, Brandi, Betty has two grandsons; Dustin Broke and Beau Broke, with a third on the way. Brandi was widowed by her husband, Skip before the storyline of The Sims 2 began. She has similar clothes and hairstyle to Coral Oldie. Betty died shortly before the birth of her first grandson Dustin. Her husband died earlier; both died while Brandi was pregnant. When her character file is viewed in SimPE, her hair genes are for black hair, which implies that she may have dyed it in The Sims 3.
Resurrection tip
This Sim has no character data and cannot be resurrected in-game. For more information, read this guide.
Life leading up to The Sims 2 (console)
Betty lives here with her roommate, Bob. However, they are very different from the usual light-skinned Bob Newbie and Betty Newbie. Whether they are canonical in their appearance, as both Bob and Betty are deceased by the time of The Sims 2, or are entirely different people, is unknown.
