Phil Geiles
Biography
Despite being a good friend of the legendary Matthew Hamming, it seems that nobody in Bridgeport has ever heard of this guy. In fact, this is even more surprising by the fact that he is a reputable director, although some say that his track record is dubious at best. Others, now that the news are spreading, points out his eccentricity.

Phil Geiles, official records stating his DoB to be December 11 of 1983, is an associate of Matthew Hamming in Time Paradox. Phil Geiles is a director, and due to his eccentricity has come up with unorthodox ideas with varying levels of success. In fact, Matthew Hammings looks at his eccentric style with interest, and given the turbulent state of Bridgeport caused by Kallisto's incessant bombing, is invited to direct a film as a gambit to motivate the population of SimNation to impose a sanction against the Papal States. Phil has 7 points in Writing, 3 poings in Gardening and 3 in Mixology.

Phil on the move[edit | edit source]

Phil was originally an aspiring gardener, but then Bridgeport's extreme population density had prevented Phil from fulfilling his wish to become a gardener, and Phil himself had very little experience asides from having mastered the contents of the elementary level gardening book. Having given up on that as a medium for his art, Phil transferred to Mixology, believing that to be a good medium for his art. However, as artistic as he has been, Phil himself was not well suited to the job of a Mixologist: he simply did not have the standing base. He may had applied and given himself some experience, his career as a Mixologist was short at best.

But then came Matthew Hamming. Phil never thought high of Matthew, but Matthew saw a note that Phil wrote about mixology, and mistook it for a partial film script. This led to Matthew recommending Phil to become an apprentice to a director, and Phil did just that. Phil's products in his career as an scriptwriting assistant has been quite good: Phil's unorthodox elements sparking the interest of his experimentive mentor. Although the mentor was quite interested, the mentor believed the risks to be too great: after having succeeded in making a hit, the mentor pushed Phil to become an independent director. Phil, however, was growing tired of the oppressive environment of Bridgeport, and decides to go out for quite some time.

Return of Phil[edit | edit source]

However, all this would change when Kallisto starts the bombardment of Bridgeport. The bombardments have caused quite a panic over in Bridgeport, and the introduction of Antigone has effectively put an antagonistic relationship between Bridgeport and Hekatonschoinos. Having said that, Matthew had an idea of getting a political film aimed at mobilizing citizens, as soon as Antigone notified him of Kallisto. However, Matthew was not able to spark the interests of most directors, who believed Matthew's idea to be too risky, and Matthew despite his wealth could not afford to cover up massive losses in simoleons. As such, Matthew decides to recall his old friend Phil into the scene. Phil never liked Bridgeport for the same reason why Beauty 4 had left the town, but then having been called by his old friend in need, Phil decides to overcome his disdain for Bridgeport to aid his old friend.

I never wished to return to this accursed town...

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Phil was originally designed as Kallisto's alter-ego of sorts, i.e. Kallisto impersonating a different person. However, that design was scrapped with the introduction of Isis Stone, as well as the probable status of Kallisto as the main star of the fanon. However, his core design remains the same, however, an eccentric scriptwriting director who preferred more space and less spotlight.
  • His Insane trait was to be an hint at him being a mask for Kallisto, and as the character was redesigned, he is the only Insane Fanon sim of Time Paradox not affiliated with the Papal State.
  • Phil is one of the characters designed first and put into the actual game much later, alongside Aristophanes who is featured (as a minor character as of this point) in the subset plot New Homeland
