- Not to be confused with The Sims (film) or Actor.
The Film career is a career in The Sims 3: Late Night that puts emphasis on the Celebrity mechanic, also introduced with Late Night. Sims go to work at the Plumbob Pictures Backlot and can win awards. It is split into two branches: Actor and Director. The Acting branch requires the Charisma skill, while the Director requires Writing. Both rely heavily on the sim's celebrity level.
The Film career shares some of the Ambitions features, much like the Medical career.[1] Some of these tasks include:
- Promoting movies at bars
- Promoting movies
- Picking up food for shoots
- Buying food for colleagues for when they are on their breaks.
- Performance tones
- Business as Usual
- Work Hard
- Slack Off
- Meet Cast Members
- Hang with Cast Members
- Compliment The Director

Notes[edit | edit source]
- Players have to manually add film studio rabbit holes in worlds other than Bridgeport in order for Sims to be able to join the film career.
- As of patch 1.38, players can disable the celebrity system and opt their Sims out from becoming one. However, this may negatively affect the celebrity level performance factor for the film career as Sims will never be able to become a celebrity.
