Minor quote help

Hi LiR, sorry to bother you but this quote has been bugging me for quite a while and I could really do with your help! :3

I have a quote on my userpage which quotes something I found on an LGBT website a few weeks ago, now at the end of it I have put, as the author of the quote, An LGBT News Source. The thing that's been bugging the most about me is, how that doesn't really define the author of the quote. This is the bit where you come in; can you maybe advise me on how to quote the author better, please?

In addition to the BeyondSims reference, I added a reference to a developer's website in which demos and screenshots of the game were located. Those demos and screenshots were compiled into the video. Please check the revision history of the page to see Patrick Kelly's website, in which he, an official developer of The Sims 4 calls the assets he has listed there as Official beta designs.

Link and policy

I and Beds had a bit of a minor dispute regarding an old link of mine that was in my userpage. Currently the matter has been resolved with me making a covenant not to mention it again. However, was the link against the policy, and what would have been your first reaction to this? Re: Request for administratorship feedback

As far as I'm concerned, Beds, Pidge, Waikikamukow, and you pretty much said it all. If other folks feel that way, it might have contributed to the discussion fading out. I know I was reluctant to add something that would have amounted to "what they said". Hmm... I'm hesitant to declare consensus based on four or five voices, and can't say that progress is being made. On the other hand, I can't say that Jason's nomination is contested. I don't think that continuing the discussion would produce any change, and I expect that the nomination would be approved with little or no opposition if we call a vote. That being so, my inclination is to approve based on the strength of the arguments in favor and the absence of arguments against. Dharden (talk) 13:27, October 4, 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for taking notice! I actually am a registered member, but for the most part I tend to ignore my account and edit unregistered. My interest is focused extensively on the Gender article because I started it a few years ago and recently became a bit concerned with how sloppy it looked. I think it looks a lot better now after this recent surge of edits everyone put into it. =)

Vandalism

I should ask if you noticed that you reverted a massive act of vandalism form a user, who deleteted the The Sims 3 section on the Cars page. Sims with mismatched signs

Apparently some of the user created Sims have fallen under this category. How is one meant to make a separate category for fanon Sims with mismatched signs? C.Syde65 (talk) 07:07, January 21, 2014 (UTC)

I am bold, mostly. But there's a template for sign mismatches. Doesn't it require making or editing a template so that it can automatically link fanon Sims to a category: sims with mismatched sign (fanon) rather than pre-made Sims to the category: sims with mismatched sign? When fanon users add the template on their fanon Sim pages, it adds them to the same category for sims with mismatched sign as the pre-made ones. If it requires editing the template so that fanon created content can be linked to a fanon category of that category, I doubt whether I know how to do that myself. What's the difference between a normal user and a rollback and/or a bureaucrat and an administrator? How does being each of them make a difference as a user? Would that be Template:Simology? If so, then yes, that would be me. It has been discontinued some time because I found it a little complicated for use. That template doesn't combine the personality tables though, as they still have to be used separately. That template is just to arrange a list of tabber like in Rose Greenman. Updating the warning template

Ha! Good to see you stole (I mean borrow) my idea for the shared IP notice. The original idea actually wasn't mine (Yes, Wikipedia reference ahead), I actually got the idea from this template, which is separate from the actual warning template and is optional. Permanently Blocked Users

I'm just wondering what the point is of keeping the user pages of users that have been permanently blocked. C.Syde65 (talk) 08:53, February 9, 2014 (UTC)

@C.Syde65 It's still their userpage. Indefinite blocks are not infinite blocks. Users can still be unblocked (and reblocked) at any time. Good admins should allow blocked users to edit their talk page so they can contest or appeal a block, as is the policy on Wikipedia (a lot of admins on other wikis make this horrible mistake). Also, the only reason why a userpage should be deleted is 1. Author's request or 2. If it contains offensive or inappropriate material.
