Life skills are Skills introduced in The Sims 2: FreeTime that a Sim can learn to unlock special interactions or abilities.

The Sims 2: FreeTime

Parenting

This skill can be learned by reading a book from any bookcase. Once learned, it allows a Sim to 'check' on babies. A thought bubble will appear indicating any Motives needing attention. The symbols for hhunger, bladder, etc. are the same as what it would be if the adult Sim needed something and began waving at you.

Makes your Sim more effective at putting out fires and your Sim will be more calm when a fire actually starts. (They are easier to get away from the fire than other Sims)

Lifelong Happiness

Physiology

Faster body skill gain.
