Comic books can be bought in the bookstore or at the comic book register in [[nerd shop]]s. Comic books in bookstores always sell the latest issues with the normal price. On the other hand, vintage comic books are only available in nerd shops. Vintage comic books have earlier issues than the ones listed below. A bookstore is a rabbit hole in The Sims 3 where Sims can buy and sell books and other forms of literature. These include cooking recipes, fishing books, music sheets, skill books, alchemy recipes[TS3:SN], and comic books[TS3:UL]. Sims can get a part-time job in the bookstore as a bookstore clerk. Snob Sims are more likely to visit the lot that contains the building.

Comic books can be bought in the bookstore or at the comic book register in nerd shops. Comic books in bookstores always sell the latest issues with the normal price. On the other hand, vintage comic books are only available in nerd shops. Vintage comic books have earlier issues than the ones listed below. The older the issue is, the more expensive it will cost, with issue #1 costing the max vintage price as listed below.

Academic textbooks are sold under general books tab, but Sims who are enrolled in college can read these books to further increase their performance.
