Lucas was orphaned after his father's death, leaving his older brother Simon alone to take care of him. Despite his situation, Lucas has remained in good health and spirits, and is close to his older brother. He maintains a healthy grade in school and is able to focus on his studies and his homework.

Lucas is friends with [[Fanon:Evan Newbie|Evan Newbie]], who even slept over at their place the day after Simon got fired. Evan is the second-born child of the richest family in SimVille, and it seems likely that this connection will prove invaluable to the Torres.
