Loki Beaker ( /ˈloʊki ˈbikər/) is a pre-made Sim who resides in Strangetown in The Sims 2, and formerly in Aurora Skies as a child. He is married to Circe. He has a younger sister Erin, and is the son of Bjorn and Gundrun. He has blond hair and dark blue eyes. He is portrayed as a mad scientist. His surname is a play on a laboratory container with a pouring lip.

Loki genetically engineered Atom Beaker and Ceres Beaker, who appear in The Sims 3: Into the Future. He appears with them as well as his family from The Sims 2 in the The Sims 4 Gallery.

Biography

Life leading in The Sims 3

In The Sims 3, Loki reappears as a child, living with his mother, father, and younger sister in Aurora Skies. His overall personality as a child is much less serious and sinister than his adult counterpart in The Sims 2. Despite being a child, he has already mastered the Writing skill and has 7 points in Dominoes secret skill, if The Sims 3: Showtime is installed. However, in The Sims 2 he has a low Creativity skill which is connected to writing. When the family is first played, Loki is 4 days away from becoming a teen.

Life leading in The Sims 2

Loki lives in Strangetown with his wife, Circe. He wears a blue sweater, dark gray jeans, and black shoes. He provides a home for Nervous Subject, whom he and his wife, Circe, use as a subject for cruel science experiments. When first played, he is 20 days away from becoming an elder.

As a teenager, he was excellent in school and lost a fight to General Buzz Grunt, the aggressive kid in school. Loki has a job in the Science career as an Inventor (Level 6). He is enemies with Pascal Curious and considered an enemy by Vidcund Curious, who are two of the three Curious brothers. The rivalry started when they were all teenagers. Vidcund was Circe's first flame and in a storytelling picture, Loki and Pascal got into a fight. Though neither of them have any memory of it, it is presumed that Loki won.

It is suggested that he and his sister have Scandinavian ancestry (Norwegian, perhaps), due to their last name and characteristics. Because the Beaker household already has Aspiration and Career rewards rewards lying around on the first floor, as well as Loki being seen testing the Eclectic and Enigmatic Energizer on Nervous in the storybook image, it is conceivable that Loki invented some of the aspiration and career rewards.

Strangely, Loki has memories of his sister Erin growing up well, even though Erin has no memories of Loki. Also, Erin has not noticed that Loki got married, and she does not know Circe. Despite being a Knowledge Sim, Loki will usually have a fear of seeing a ghost, when the family is first played. Because he has reached level 6 of the Science career, Loki has a Science career reward available for him to purchase, disregarding the fact that there is already one inside the house.

Very fittingly, along with his wife, Loki's predestined hobby will be Science, because of his very neat and serious personality, if The Sims 2: FreeTime is installed.

Life leading in The Sims 2 (PSP)

Loki's secrets in The Sims 2 (PSP):

1. (Personal): Loves to chew on aluminum foil to make his teeth "buzz".
2. (Intimate): That thick, wavy hair is really just a high-tech evil-genius toupee.
3. (Dark): Met his wife by lurking in an online chatroom devoted to lurking in online chatrooms.
4. (Loki's Secret Patents): Loki has secret patents for an electric vomit recycler and fuzzy carrying case. Sounds delicious!

Loki appears as a mad scientist who had kidnapped Gimi Branko for tests, since his previous guinea pig, Nervous Subject had died.

He also finds out his wife, Circe, was having an affair with Dominic Newlow.

Loki's brow is different in the PSP version, simply due to the limitations the Create-A-Sim menu has. It looks fairly normal and doesn't cover his eyes as much.

In Norse mythology, Loki is the Norse god of fire and mischief, destined to break free of his prison and join the giants in Ragnarok, the world-ending battle.
