Sims who died on the Specter lot

A bunch of tombstones on the Specter's garden

In Strangetown, a mysterious elderly woman named Olive Specter lives with her niece, Ophelia Nigmos on an eerie lot dotted with tombstones of people, ranging from relatives to NPC's. A small quirk is that, like Olive, several of the Sims buried on her lot lack eyebrows, due to them having corrupted faces.

Sims Buried on the Lot[edit | edit source]

  • Earl E. DeMise: Olive Specter's first love, who left her at the altar, and died soon after. Brother to Tim Lee. He died of Electrocution.
  • Tim Lee DeMise: Brother to Earl E. He died of Electrocution.
  • Rigger Mortis: First husband to Olive. He died in a fire as an Elder.
  • Hugh Thanasia: Olive's second husband and brother to Lou Thanasia. He died in a fire as an Adult.
  • Ichabod Specter: Third and final husband to Olive. Ichabod is the only one of Olive's spouses who died a natural death.
  • Willow Nigmos: Sister to Olive, wife of Creon Nigmos and mother to Ophelia. Like her husband, she died of Drowning, leaving Ophelia in Olive's care.
  • Creon Nigmos: Olive's brother-in-law, husband of Willow Nigmos and father to Ophelia. Like his wife, he died of Drowning.
  • Peponi Muenda: Father to Olive and Willow. He is also the grandfather of Ophelia Nigmos and Nervous Subject. He perished in a fire along with his wife, Lerato.
  • Lerato Muenda: Mother to Olive and Willow. She is also the grandmother to Ophelia and Nervous. She died in a fire along with her husband, Peponi.
  • Patrick Jones: A townie with an unknown connection to Olive. He died of Electrocution.
  • Danielle Greaves: A pizza delivery woman who died of starvation. She is allegedly the first Sim to be buried on Olive's lot. She is one of two Sims who died on the lot that can be resurrected in-game.
  • Jessica Ebadi: A maid who died of Starvation. She is one of two Sims buried on the lot who can be resurrected in-game.
  • Lyla Grunt: The ex-wife of General Buzz Grunt and mother of Tank, Ripp, and Buck. She died by Electrocution after divorcing General Buzz.
  • Melissa Sims: A teenage girl with an ambiguous age and gender. She died of Starvation and may have been related to another Sim buried on the lot named Vicki Sims.
  • Vicki Sims: An adult Sim of ambiguous gender. She died of Starvation much like her possible relative, Melissa.
  • Luc Smith: A teenage boy who died of drowning. Shares last name with the unrelated Smith Family.
  • Seth Zaidi: An elderly Repairman who died of Starvation. He could be, although most likely not be related to Brenda Zaidi, also buried on the Specter graveyard.
  • Brenda Zaidi: A mail-woman that died by drowning. She could be, though most likely not be related to Seth Zaidi, another possible victim of Olive.
  • Benjamin Cho: A bug exterminator who died of starvation.
  • Knut Futa: A deliveryman who died of unknown causes. (Note: While he is not buried on the lot, Olive is believed to be involved in his death as well).
  • Lou Thanasia: Brother of Hugh who died right before Hugh of unknown causes. Strangely, his grave is nowhere to be found and his character data was deleted.

Order of deaths according to Olive's memories[edit | edit source]

Glitches[edit | edit source]

For some reason, most Sims buried on the Specter lot suffer from numerous glitches and may look deformed/corrupted when resurrected. Some of them have the wrong age and/or gender data. Several of the Sims buried on the lot cause corruption if resurrected. The glitches may have occurred due to the numerous changes Maxis made to the Sims' data during development. Strangetown is generally known to be extra susceptible to corruption, and contains many junk files, as well as relationships involving non-existent or deleted Sims. Because they were deceased, one could assume Maxis just didn't bother to update the data of some dead Sims. Here is a list of Sims buried here and their known glitches. Note: Sims without any major problems are not listed here.

Warning
While all except one of the Sims who died on the Specter lot are resurrectable, either in-game or through hacks, resurrecting them has been known to cause glitches, errors and save file corruption. Resurrecting these Sims is NOT recommended.
  • Brenda Zaidi: According to the NPC and Townie Maker, Brenda has damaged data and is likely unsafe to resurrect.
  • Earl E. DeMise: According to the NPC and Townie Maker, Earl E. has damaged data and is likely unsafe to resurrect.
  • Tim Lee DeMise: Has damaged and corrupted data, as well corrupted facial features. As a result, his appearance, e.g facial structure, hair color, eye color and clothing will be randomized.
  • Hugh Thanasia: According to the NPC and Townie Maker, Hugh has damaged data and is likely unsafe to resurrect. Additionally, when resurrected his aspiration bar is bottomed out, meaning he will usually go into aspiration failure when brought back.
  • Ichabod Specter: According to the NPC and Townie Maker, Ichabod has damaged data and is likely unsafe to resurrect. Additionally, Ichabod's age data is damaged, and his age bar counts days lived in the negative. As such, his age when resurrected is -170 days old.
  • Rigger Mortis: According to the NPC and Townie Maker, Rigger has damaged data and is likely unsafe to resurrect.
  • Peponi Muenda: According to the NPC and Townie Maker, Peponi has damaged data and is likely unsafe to resurrect.
  • Lerato Muenda: According to the NPC and Townie Maker, Lerato has damaged data and is likely unsafe to resurrect. Her outfit is randomized and depending on the version of The Sims 2, possibly her face and hair as well.
  • Benjamin Cho: According to the NPC and Townie Maker, Benjamin has damaged data and is likely unsafe to resurrect.
  • Willow Nigmos: Has damaged and corrupted data, as well as corrupted facial features that are genetic. Also, Willow is treated as an adult, not an elder by the game. Willow lacks hair and eyebrows when resurrected. Using Dr. Vu's Automated Cosmetic Surgeon to fix her corrupted face is recommended.
  • Creon Nigmos: Has damaged and corrupted data, as well as corrupted facial features that are genetic. Also, Creon is treated as an adult, not an elder by the game. Using Dr. Vu's Automated Cosmetic Surgeon to fix his corrupted face is recommended. Depending on the version of the game, a resurrected Creon will either have the aforementioned corrupted features, or appear with a random face template and outfit.
  • Patrick Jones: Has damaged and corrupted data and his appearance is randomized. Patrick has the unused Power aspiration.
  • Lyla Grunt: Has damaged and corrupted data, as well as corrupted facial features that are genetic. Her appearance is randomized when she is resurrected. Using Dr. Vu's Automated Cosmetic Surgeon to fix her corrupted face is recommended.
  • Melissa Sims: Has damaged and corrupted data, and is treated by the game as an adult male instead of a teenage female. She also has the unused Power aspiration. Her face is corrupted, and as such her appearance is randomized.
  • Vicki Sims: Has damaged and corrupted data, and is treated by the game as an adult male, possessing a male voice. She has the unused Power aspiration.
  • Luc Smith: Has damaged and corrupted data, and is treated by the game as an adult. His face is corrupted. He also has the unused Power aspiration.
  • Seth Zaidi: Seth is technically safe, but is prone to graphical glitches, especially when he is transformed into a different Life State. According to the NPC and Townie Maker, Seth has damaged data and is also likely unsafe to resurrect.
  • Knut Futa: Is not buried on the lot and is technically considered to be alive, despite Olive having a memory of his death. As most of his character data, including vital pieces such as aspiration or age either is corrupted or gone entirely, resurrecting him is particularly ill advised.
