Thomas Cuevas is a Sim in SimVille. He is the husband of Isabelle Cuevas and the father of Julio, Garrett, Cheryl, and Evan Cuevas.

Thomas was born in a large metropolis in a developing country. Both he and his parents lived in a shanty town that lacked sanitation and running water. He was forced to drop out of school at the age of eight, and by the time he was 12, he was living on his own, having lost both of his parents to disease. Thomas was a labourer, doing menial, backbreaking tasks for very little pay. He lived with six other boys inside an abandoned warehouse as squatters. By the time he was 18, most of them had either died or joined a street gang. When he was 20, he met Isabelle in a church, and married her at the age of 22. Thomas and Isabelle had four children, all of whom spent at least their earliest years in the slums.

Thomas wanted to give his children the best opportunities possible, so he worked hard to try and make enough money to leave the slums. Eventually, he "got lucky" and was able to save up enough money to fly him and his family to SimVille, where they now reside. Thomas was able to touch base with Amar Newbie, and with his help, was able to secure a new job in the Adventurer career.

Thomas is described as once having a strong bond with his eldest son, Julio, which fell apart after the family moved to SimVille. Julio feels that his parents had forced him to leave his old friends behind, and he frequently quarrels with Thomas. Thomas never really built a strong relationship with his three other children, leaving him lonely and depressed since the move.

Thomas's character is based on the father of Garrett in K6ka's novel For my little brother,^{[n 1]} who also had a strong relationship with his eldest son — but not with other family members — that virtually vanishes by the time the novel begins. It is revealed that the father left home when Garrett was eight, leaving his family to fend for themselves.
