Lifeguard is a profession that is featured in The Sims 3: Island Paradise expansion pack. It was confirmed by EA during a Live Broadcast event.

Sims can join the profession by going to city hall or clicking on the life guard chair at the beach, in addition to newspaper and computer.

Basics

This is a playable career, so you have to keep watching over people in the sea of the beach you are working on. For this career, you have to improve your athletic and charisma skills, other than doing jobs at the beaches to improve your job performance. If you are a rank 10 lifeguard and save 35 sims, you'll be rewarded a title of an uncharted island!
