Shang Simla
Shang Simla is a town/neighbourhood which is introduced in The Sims 3 World Adventures along with Champs Les Sims and Al Simhara. It is found in China and features activities and items that compliments Chinese culture and architecture. Shang Simla is the hub for training Martial Arts, a new skill introduced in World Adventures.
Things Unique to Shang Simla:
- A Chinese trip costs 800 simoleons for the first Sim and 1000 for each additional Sim
- Shang Simla is a peaceful community set near a mountainous area of China near the Great Wall. It was founded by a group of monks with an ethos of discipline and Martial Arts. In Shang Simla, Sims can explore the Forbidden City, Scholar’s Garden and the “Symbol of the Halls of the Lost Army” (aka Terracotta Army)
- In China, Sims can make fortune cookies with a new machine and write their own fortunes
- Martial Arts is the new skill introduced for China and can be practiced at the Phoenix Academy
- National dishes of China include Stir Fry and Egg Rolls. Sims in China can eat with chopsticks
- For China, a new Pagoda roof has been added to the game
- Fireworks are added and can be bought in person or from the buy mode catalog for 75 simoleons. Sims can only set them off outside.
- Bake Fortune Cookies with Fortune Factory Fortune Cookie Maker (§1900) and read the fortune inside as a Sim eats it. Get moodlets if the fortune is good or bad.
The name "Shang Simla" may be referencing Shangri-La.
