The Ghosthunter career will appear in the upcoming expansion pack for The Sims 3, Ambitions.
It is unclear precisely how the career will operate, although it is an open career that players will control their Sims throughout, like other careers in Ambitions. It appears Sims will use a machine to trap or ward off Ghosts, similar to the Ghostbusters film franchise. It also may be derived from level 9 in the Paranormal career from previous games.
It is unknown how the game with generate Ghosts for this career, whether they will appear in occupied houses around neighbourhoods such as Twinbrook, or if there will be a new haunted house lot type specifically for the career. It is possible that these Ghosts will consitute a new category of NPC or Townie. [1]
