A tomb is both a lot assignment in Edit Town and the Create a World tool, and also any lot that contains tomb objects acting together to make a puzzling adventure.

Types

Lot assignment

There are two kinds of tomb lot assignments in Edit Town and Create a World, Tomb and Hidden Tomb. These assignments are locked from use outside of the The Sims 3: World Adventures sub-neighborhoods in-game. The tomb lot assignment generates a tomb map tag, and it attracts explorer NPCs. The lot assignment does not generate the moodlets players will see in tombs, these are instead generated by the tomb fogger tomb object.

Puzzles

Tomb puzzles are defined by setting the tomb fogger object to 'final room' and giving the tomb a name. There can be multiple tombs on any kind of lot type, including residential lots.

Tombs are often underground labyrinths that hold puzzles, traps and treasure. Tombs can be found in Shang Simla, Al Simhara and Champs Les Sims.

Tombs can be a place of suspense and discovery. Unlike common buildings, unexplored areas of a tomb are often fogged out as Sims explore new tombs. Once a Sim enters/sees into an unexplored area, the fog of the room fades away, and a sound effect plays.

The following are lots assigned as tombs in the sub-neighborhoods of The Sims 3: World Adventures expansion pack. This list does not include residential lots, art galleries, nectaries, or markets that contain tomb objects.

How to complete Abu Simbel

When you come to the entrance you need to donate a relic aged Ancient or older - click Analyze All to analyze given relics in your inventory. As second you need to donate a tiny space rock - if you don't have one you can find and collect one with the Collection Helper. The tiny space rocks is normally spawned near the shore and water, never deep in the country. Now you can go in, scroll down and to the right, then you can see a door at the left hand. Pull the moveable statue to the gear switch. Now you are locked in, you can use the teleport cheat or zeneport. Dive and say yes to the tunnel question. Break the dig site, take the keystone and insert it and go through the door. Go downstairs, if you see the tomb right the combination of the switches in the next room is: left, left, right and left, go through the door in the middle, take the tresaure and go through the other door. Go through the door at the end of the maze. Open the treasure chest, take the statue and place it at the pedestal - it's a donate to Horus before you take the eye. Then zeneport in there, stand on the switch and take the eye if you want - if you just wanna move on then choose Teleport me to the left/right eye (I don't remember which eye). Then you're in the room beside and you're completed it, but we are going to complete the whole tomb, so stay. Stand on the switch, zeneport out and donate a tresaure to the pedestal before zeneport back and taking the other eye if you want. Do a donation no matter what. Remember to check the chest - there's an object you for example could donate. Go throught the door, it's in a corner. Stand on the switch, beware of the fire traps, stand on all switches and don't set fire to yourself, it would be stupid. The switches opens a lot of hidden doors, when you have standed on all switches, then find the last hidden door and click go through it. There's a long hallway, select the door to the left. You're in the red priests room, take the relics and unlock the secret tomb hole (there's a torch on the wall) hurry up the tomb hole is in the other room - it's the blue priest's room, use teleporting cheat if necessary. Repeat same method, insert the keystones in the locks and take the treasures in the priests rooms. Go back to where one of the horus eyes was and find the hidden door. Take the tresaures, fight against the mummy and whatever you wanna do, repeat the same for the other room. You're done.

Then they must then use the "Cleanse" interaction on the statue, curing the curse from the afflicted sim.

How to complete Sphinx

Go inside. Stand on the switch - it stops four of the traps. Swim in one of the pools and place the statues on the gear switches, pull one of the remaining statues away to continue. Check the holes on the floor and go downstairs. Find the hidden door, it's between the two rooms with the pools. Collect the treasures in there. Go through the unhidden door, read the message beside the other door and go through it. Now you're in a room with four dive wells and four sarcophagus'es. Dive in the dive well with pink water, it unlocks a secret door, go through it. You're in a very long room, at the bottom go through the door, you're now in a kind of living room - just egyptian themed. Behind the first two chairs on the right side there's a hidden door, inspect it, go through the door and take the Star Keystone. Insert the keystone in the lock and go through the door. Now you're in a kind of maze - make your way through it to the stairs - use the stairs. Go up the stairs, go through the door and inspect the wall for a hidden door on the left side. Go through it and go through one of the three doors. Now you're in the room with the Soulpeace Statue - here you can get uncursed. Go outside of the sphinx and to the bottom. On the right side there's a stair and a switch, stand on the switch and go downstairs. Break the dig sites. Pull the statue to the gear switch and go through the unlocked door. Go downstairs and swim in the dive well, swim through the tunnel, take the relic and swim back. Smash the giant boulders, see How to complete Tomb of discovery to see how you cheat and smash the boulders quick. Stand on the switch and inspect the tomb hole. Go through the unlocked door, find the treasures and go away. Go back to the dive well room (That one with the gold-coloured water) and pull the statue to the gear switch and go through the unlocked door, collect the treasures and now you're done.
