Animal lover is a lifestyle trait featured in The Sims 3: Pets. It conflicts with Dog Person, Cat Person and Equestrian.
Sims with the Animal Lover trait love all members of the animal kingdom and have special benefits when interacting with Pets.

- Animal lovers build relationships with pets faster than other Sims.
- Sims with this trait build the hidden Wildlife Friend skill faster than other sims.[confirmation needed]
- Sims will want to adopt animals and interact with them more often.
- Animal lovers will act excitedly upon encountering one of the major pet animals.
