Gym

A gym is a type of lot in The Sims 2, The Sims 3, and The Sims 4. It is also a lot assignment in The Sims 3 And The Sims 4.

The Sims 2

All pre-made college sub-neighborhoods in The Sims 2: University have gyms, although those lots also have other uses. Downtown and Bluewater Village each have a lot which has a gym area, but those lots are primarily devoted to other uses.

The Sims 3

As a lot assignment, gyms provide the Fit Atmosphere moodlet and will attract Sims with the Athletic and Disciplined traits and repel Sims with the Couch Potato trait.

It is a great place to build Athletic Skill as there are gym obects such as treadmills.

The 28 Hour Wellness Gym is the default gym for Sunset Valley. It has two weight machines and two treadmills upon which Sims can work out. It also has showers, a small dining area, a small deck, and large swimming pool. It is also the Nintendo DS version of the gym.

Gyms return in The Sims 4 as an lot assignment. These lots includes lot of gym related equipment, such as treadmills, weight machines and punching bags. It is a perfect place for an sims to get fit, if the sim doesn't have enough money for own gym equipment.
