- Not to be confused with Business.
Business is a career available in The Sims, The Sims 2, and The Sims 3, as well as many console versions of the game. It is one of the basic careers that appear in most games.
The Sims
A Business Tycoon will eventually change careers and become an All-Star in the Pro Athlete career track.
The Sims 2
The Career reward object is the Execuputter. It is unlocked when a Sim reaches Executive (career level 5), and raises Fun and Charisma. If The Sims 2: Apartment Life is installed, Techs and Socialites are likely to be employed in this career.

The current grist for the office rumor mill seems to be that <Sim>'s boss is up for a promotion and has been asked to hand pick his replacement. Microscotch Technologies is looking for a new CEO, and <Sim>'s name appeared on their list of candidates. Though <Sim>'s been happy at his/her current corporation, the thought of possibly becoming a CEO is tempting. After researching Microscotch, <Sim> is impressed with their business record and environmental policy. <Sim> could easily show interest in the position and, with his/her experience, have a good chance of landing it. But loyalty is a powerful asset in the business world, and word would undoubtedly get around that s/he'd gone looking elsewhere. | Apply | Success: Promoted to CEO +§25,000 |

While having a meal with his/her assistant, <Sim> learns that EveryTech Technologies is looking for a new CEO and that <Sim>'s own president is being considered for the position. <Sim> ponders what his/her response to this should be and if s/he'd have enough time to sabotage the president's plans, as a move like this would invariably be bad for business. Then <Sim>'s assistant reminds him/her that the president has been a loyal employee with the company for many years, and has stuck with the company through thick and thin. | Sabotage | Success: +2 +1 |

An opportunity arises for a joint venture with Landgraab Enterprises to build a new privately owned, but internationally accessible seaport. A new seaport would allow many of <Sim>'s corporations access to trade routes in other regions much earlier in the corporation's developmental lifespan than trucking products via land routes. A seaport would also allow well-established companies a much faster distribution rate, but on the other hand, it would be more immediately economical to simply acquire more trucks and ship higher volumes. | Build Seaport | Success: +§35,000 |

The Sims 3
Business is one of the basic career tracks in The Sims 3. It's the only career track that doesn't require any skills for promotion. Sims can be employed from newspaper, computer, or office building. Because skills no longer contribute the performance factor to Business career, attending work and building relationships with boss and coworkers are more important. Schmoozer trait will be suitable for Sims who work in Business. Sims must hold meetings many times as a performance factor in this career track.
Sims can pull prank with their coworkers and boss inside the office building as long as the target is working inside. A successful prank will give a relationship boost to the target, and if the target is the boss, the career performance will also increase. On the other hand, a failed prank will give a relationship drop to the target, and if the target is the boss, the career performance will decrease.
Performance tones:
- Business as Usual
- Power Work - Increases performance faster but adds stress
- Take It Easy - Increases fun but lowers performance
- Meet Co-workers - Meets new coworkers
- Chat at Water Cooler - Builds relationship with coworkers
- Suck Up to Boss - Builds relationship with the boss
- Sleep Under Desk - Increases energy
- Hold Meetings - Adds the number of "Meetings Held" factor if held for at least 1.5 hours and earns extra cash
