The Sims 4: My First Pet Stuff is the fourteenth stuff pack for The Sims 4. It marks the return of the rodent small pet, last found in The Sims: Livin' Large, The Sims 2: Pets and The Sims 3: Pets. The list of small pets include hamsters, rats, hedgehogs, miniature bubalus, along with new objects and outfits for cats, dogs and Sims.[1] It was released worldwide on March 13, 2018 for PC and Mac, and on March 31, 2020 for consoles.
For the PC version, the pack requires The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs expansion pack in order to use all of the content since there are pet clothes and objects that can only be used with Cats & Dogs installed, a move that has been widely criticized. However for consoles, due to regulations from Microsoft and Sony, the pack cannot be purchased unless the player already owns Cats & Dogs.[2]

Teach your Sims how to care for smaller household pets, decorate a home with pet-inspired furniture, and dress pets in your favorite Sims outfits!
Care for a new pet. Add a habitat to your household with all-new small pets like a hamster, rat, pygmy hedgehog, or miniature bubalus! Have your Sims name their new pet and learn how to take care of them, whether its spending time playing or keeping them clean and healthy. Your Sims have lots to learn!
Dress your cats and dogs. Show your Sims and their pets are made for each other with matching pet outfits like a comfy robe and purr-fect pajamas. Put a glamorous dress on your feline friend or have your dog don a hat for the right occasion.
Decorate with pet prints. Have Sims decorate their living room with uniquely-designed décor and paw-some pet-inspired furniture for the kids’ room. From cute cat pillows for your Sims to bright beds for your cats and dogs, there is something for everyone.

- This is the first downloadable content pack in The Sims series to officially require another pack to unlock all items, in addition to the base game. Many fans have negatively criticized this move, stating that the content in the pack should've been included in Cats and Dogs or in a free update.
- On one of the dog costumes, there is the logo of Spore embedded on the side, another Maxis title developed by series creator Will Wright.
- Sims can get Rabid Rodent Fever from handling rodents they have a low relationship with. It is curable but will kill Sims if left untreated. Their ghost will wear a guinea pig outfit.
- The trailer was taken down on March 16th, 2020 for an unknown reason, possibly due to the overwhelming amount of negative comments. However, the trailer can be found on the PlayStation channel as well as uploaded from several Youtube users although a large majority of these videos have different music instead of the music from the original trailer.
