The science lab returns in ''[[The Sims 4: Get to Work]]'' as a secret lot only used by Sims in the science career. Here, Sims can perform a multitude of tasks such as creating serums, making [[Invention Constructor|inventions]], conducting analyses, using invented objects, or talking to co-workers. Co-workers have special interactions with the active Sim at the workplace. The player-controlled Sim can ask co-workers for metals or crystals, and will receive a random metal or crystal which the Sim can use in an invention. Sims can also ask their co-workers to do specific tasks, such as tending to the garden or assisting in inventions. |

A science laboratory is a rabbit hole building in The Sims 3, and is the workplace for the science career in The Sims 4: Get to Work.
The Sims 3
This is where Sims can get a job in the Science Career, attend Logic, Gardening, Inventing, Science and Scuba Diving classes. Sims can also tour the science lab. If a Sims is collecting insects they can sell them as specimens to the lab. Donating insects is slightly more rewarding than selling them via the inventory, so it is worth the trip. Sims can WooHoo in these rabbit holes, but they might get caught by security and be asked to leave. This is also one of the properties Sims can partner with and own in The Sims 3. It's the most expensive but also the most profitable. If Ambitions is installed, the firefighter profession has a special disaster, which is a Space-Time Rift, and Sims can go join the Ghost Hunter profession at the science lab. If Seasons is installed, aliens can get a part-time job as an Alien test-subject at the science lab, and they can also steal space rocks from the lab between 8 PM and 6 AM.
If a Sim gets the Oh My Ghost! opportunity, they can take a loved one's urn to the lab for testing and restore them as a playable ghost.
